Speaking of block pushing puzzles. Anyone ever try that kid's arcade game in Asakusa in the SMT3? Took me all night and I had to leave my game on for awhile and take a break, but I finally beat the stupid thing.

Here you go, then: Survival Kids was brilliant.

The constant sense of exploration and discovery, of experimentation with item combination and eating potentially fatal wild foods, of finding yourself stranded in some unexplored piece of the island and suddenly hearing a menacing rustle in the distance (just a rabbit, or are you being tracked by a mountain lion?) -- it was all pretty sophisticated stuff wrapped in its chibi-pixel candy shell.

If any of the ideas in Disaster Report intrigued you, from keeping yourself hydrated and fed to the branched multiple endings, you'll be right at home with SK.

The more I see this game, the more I look forward to it. Fishing, cow milking, spear-fishing, MAKE FIRE, go digging. Exploration = my heart. Plus, it seems there will be some rather itneresting places to discover on the island.
