" 'Twin Peaks' looms large to me as cautionary tale," said Carlton Cuse, who joined "Lost" as an executive producer early last season to jointly run the show with Mr. Lindelof. "That was a show where the mythology sort of overwhelmed everything else, principally the construction of believable, plausible characters. It's constantly a presence in my mind about something we can't get sucked into doing on this show."
That fear of getting too wrapped up in the intricacies of the show's mythology keeps Mr. Cuse from trolling the numerous Web sites that fans have constructed to revere, obsess over, debate and criticize the show, like Lost-TV (www.lost-tv.com). "The genre aspects of the show are cool, and we have fun doing it," Mr. Cuse said. "But I am much more engaged by the people on the show, and I think that is fundamentally what we try to do."

The actress you should know, she's been in a couple of movies. On Lost, she was on one flashback of a previous episode, but never showed up on the island. So that pic is indeed a spoiler, for all you guys saying "ooh thank god I avoided seeing any spoilers!"teiresias said:Well, looks like everyone but Locke and Syiad found some celebrity's suitcase and perused through it.
Who's the chick on the far right though? I don't recognize her.

No, you go back to not liking it. It was funner that way.MIMIC said:Simply cannot wait.
I didn't watch it during its regular season...I got the episodes and watched them over the summer. The first episode didn't do anything for me, but from the second one on, I was hooked.
Last season there were a couple big breaks. Not sure how it'll be this time around, maybe ABC will space it out better, but the season goes from now until May, not just half the year, so there will be reruns at some point.woodchuck said:I just saw the entire first season last week. How does the schedule usually run on ABC? Are there long waits between new episodes? Season 4 of 24 greatly benefited from having an episode every week. I don't know if I can suffer the wait in between Lost episodes.
yeah... BUY THE DVDEcrofirt said:Can someone give me cliffnotes for what happened up to tonight? Why do they have a need to go down this hatch?
LakeEarth said:Quick season 1 question - did they ever explain how the polar bears got there? My friend said they did but I just watched the first season this past week and don't remember hearing anything about it.
well, they pretty much explained why they want to get in the hatch just now... to hide from the others...Ecrofirt said:buying the DVD won't help tonight.
I know basic things, like the plane crashed, and they got stranded. They found some sort of repeating radio signal from years and years before. They think or thought there was a monster in the woods.
I don't really know anything about this hatch, or what ever came about with the monster.
Ecrofirt said:O, so are the others what was previously thought to be a monster?
