ok first off I'm a complete xbox knob sucker. My pro has been shut off collecting dust for over a year. So since we're all locked up like livestock I figured , fuck it. Modern warfare has done nothing but aggravate me with its sbmm since day one, let's boot up the ps4.

Holy shit! I'm kinda embarrassed to say I can't believe I've completely shunned this system, and for what? Some extra pixels?

Yea my Xbox account is almost 20 years old and I've built up a friends list and a ton of purchases, but for the first time in a very long time. Prolly since ps3s tlou did I feel that weird magic feeling playing a game.

God of War is a fucking masterpiece, i mean absolutely nothing 1st party wise on Xbox comes close, well done Sony well done.

Death Stranding I just started and I don't care what anyone says, the visuals the soundtrack , the atmosphere, the story are worth it for me. Kojima you're a weird cat but keep doing your thing.

I also picked up ff7 remake, not gonna push into that until I finish death stranding.


My point, try the ps4 if you can if your a xboy, you're missing out.

Anything else you guys recommend? Dreams any good?

IMO, God Of War (2018) >>>>>>>>> than anything SONY or Microsoft (1st party wise) have produced in the last 10-15 years.

That game is special.

Did you read what I wrote? My pro had over an inch of disgusting dust on it, I only bought it cause a consumer whore who has to have everything, im just saying I really missed out and there might be others like me. I'm a total xbot,live beta testing since wave 1 revolt.

Seriously was a completely useless reply to the thread, I haven't been here in a while? What's the general consensus here now, more ps centric? I own everything so console war shit comes off extremely boring.

There are more PS4 fans than Xbox One, but not at a higher ratio than anywhere else (PS4 outsold Xbox One 2.5 to 1).

This guy really hates PlayStation though and thinks there is a conspiracy against Xbox.

One hell of a buzz when youre making your return trip and you know that rough part of the terrain is coming up, but you get there and someone has left you a nice surprise.

The game is an experience like nothing else.

Yea i actually had no idea the game had an online component and it was such a cool surprise. I have a couple buddies who I was sending off screen shots to showing how fucking good it looks and they're all do I buy a pro? Get this and ff7, im like yea and how, you'll be set for the summer into the fall, fuck it we only live once spend that money its the apocalypse!
 
God of War is my game of the generation so far for sure. Amazing graphics, loved the combat, loved it feeling big but not being a boring mostly empty open world, loved the story and characters.

Death Stranding I was more mixed on, but did enjoy it overall. Definitely has that empty open world problem and it got boring just delivering stuff after a while. I like Kojima's crazy ass stories enough to slog through it though. Same with the MGS games as I hate stealth games, but played them for the stories.

Yeah both games are great.
May i suggest that you try The Last Guardian if you are feeling open to weird games? I only played that game once but i have very fresh memories of the whole run and it's one of the highlights of this generation for me.

Yeah, as someone who always gets both a playstation and xbox, I do tend to lean more toward xbox for whatever reason, but this gen sony wiped the floor with xbox for quality 1st party games. I really wish xbox had an equally high quality GoW equivalent but M$ doesn't have anything in narrative driven, melee centric action games. Holding out hope whatever the initiative is working on fits into that category...
