I enjoyed 7.2 but the issues I had...

Were all with the finale.

Snape's story. On it's own everything was done well, but how in the world did they forget to include the short scene with Snape Calling Lilly a mudblood. The reason for her abandoning Snape was never answered.

King's Cross. Again, it was gone well enough, but I loved how the book had Harry being a bit of a smartass to Dumbledore (and rightfully so). In the film it's still the usual reverence for Dumbledore. Harry still respected him in the books, but he wasn't going to let him off without getting some answeres

Final battle. In trying to make it more "epic" it just came off as goofy. The final duel with Harry and Voldemort may have been simpler in the book, but it worked very well. I didn't like that the film left out all the dialogue between the two.

Elder Wand. I actually liked the change of having Harry snap the thing in two, but it seemed silly not to include 15 more seconds of film to have him repair his old wand.

Oh, I definitely agree with you on all this points when watching the movie as someone who had read all the books before watching it. But as a movie and only a movie, it was great. One of the best photographies of them all, the best acting for the main trio, epic moments everywhere. It was awesome if you watched it with this mentality. I knew it would never meet my book reader expectations anyway...

Yeah, it was pretty obvious to me you wouldn't like this one. Eh, as others said already. Great book, meh movie.

Regarding Moody, he is such a cool character in the books. I never expected him to be goofy as you said. At least in the next movies he will be better.

About Harry x Hermione. lol Well, in the books its quite clear that they have nothing to do with each other. Harry never really cares for her in the first books. He is kind of whatever, at least she helps us when we need to do our homework or solve some mystery. And thats it. But be prepared because 7.2 will confuse the hell out of you with one specific scene.

Also, what.the.fuck. at people saying that 7.2 is a bad movie. WTF. It was the best one for me together with Azkaban.

It could have been great! I told my SO after it was done "I really liked the last 20 minutes of this movie, if only they had filmed the Tri-Wizarding cup in the same style." It seems like the filmaker didn't really care about making the events leading up to the graveyard scene very interesting which is a shame. A movie long competiton involving 3 different challenges could have been awesome, instead it turns out that I don't care about any of the participants (except for Cedric a bit) and the challenges themselves end up boring.



Ya, Moody really irked me. There's no way you can take that get up seriously.

The only reason I figured there would be HarryXHermione is because that's usually the trope. Hero + Heroine = Little Babies! I'm kind of glad it's not going in that direction since I like Ron as a person much more than Harry.

These two points. The cutting down of Snape's flashback in OOTP was beyond retarded, and my first major beef with Yates. It made me seriously doubt the whole "Director knows how the plot ends", because seriously, wtf?

I agree with this one, and I'll throw in that I thought Rowling's original ending was dumb. Since Harry becomes an Auror, it's easy to assume that he'll be disarmed at some point in his life. Since the Battle of Hogwarts was pretty damn famous, everyone will know he's the master of the Elder Wand, so just burying it again won't mean a damn thing. I liked how he snapped it, but yeah, a quick repairing scene would've been nice, though I can see why they didn't.

Rupert Grint is the best of the 3 kids as far as acting goes. Radcliffe is passable most times and Watson just phones it in after the 3rd movie.




The movie really didn't do the eye justice. In the book it's bright neon blue and does spin around all the time. It creeps out the students, but isn't supposed to be silly (and in the book was just a eyeball, not a strap-on).

I thought Watson did very well in the later movies, but Radcliffe is stiff and awkward throughout the entire series.

Pairing him up with Bonnie Wright totally ruined the Harry/Ginny dynamic they had going on in the books.

Skips out on major plot points thus fucking up the entire film franchise going forward, cheap BBC-esque cinematography, forced humour, nastiest hairstyles and the score sucks.

Hated it.

Seriously. While reading I always though Ginny should be kind of tomboyish, not really, but being the only girl of a family with 7 brothers, and especially after Order of Phoenix ... But Bonnie/the directors actually made her all cute and shit. Ugh.

One thing that always amazes me about Chamber of Secrets is the casting of a 40 year old as a teenager and it's not noticeable.

Guy playing Tom was something like 25 at time of filming too and looks fine.
