The original OLDBOY is amazing. The end is so fucking good. The lengths the protagonist goes to...

It's not a film that makes you happy, but man is it fascinating to watch unfold.

Is "I Saw The Devil" made by the same director?

No but Lady Vengeance is. If you don't watch Lady Vengeance as well you're doing yourself a disservice. Can't decide whether Oldboy or Lady Vengeance is better.
He certainly is my most favourite director ever though. Handmaiden was nuts as well.

I saw the Devil is really really good as well though. So is a Tale of two Sisters. Korean film in general is just something else.

Thirst is amazing vampire movie. Same director as well.

This as well. I don't even care for vampires but the movie is just so well made. Like everything the man touches.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is well worth watching as well! So glad you enjoyed one of the best films ever made, minor quibbles aside.

I'd like to add Pieta and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... Spring to the list. These have some great scenes that are beautiful and harrowing

The whole trilogy is just fantastic but Oldboy is just a really special film, one of my top five of all time.

Was the film that got me into the Korean scene and since then I've seen dozens if films that I've loved.

The Yankee version is an absolute travesty committed to film though.
