Seriously, I'm laughing so hard I think I might throw up. It's fucking brilliant, and Karl Pilkington is absolutely mental :lol

I had forgotten to resubscribe after updating iTunes! thanks for the reminder. Some of them are genius. For some reason Ricky Gervais' laugh is usually what cracks me up the most

They are indeed brilliant.

You should "attain" the XFM broadcasts also. I would argue they are even better and the podcasts are a repeat of a lot of that material.

Should probably just be called the Karl Pilkington Podcast (at least from my listening of the first few seasons, stopped after that). I'd rather listen to Ricky just genuinely BS about current events/entertainments, but I'm apparently one of the few people who's not that fond of the constant Pilkington gags.

I do worship Ricky, though, don't get me wrong.

XFM shows are way better......Steven Merchant's stories are way underrated too. I love hearing about his problems with girls and such.

You can "acquire" all the XFM archives there (not illegal, no need for inverted commas). Karl's not in them quite as much, but he's much funnier when he randomly pops in and turns the conversation upside-down. In the podcasts they're just probing him non-stop and it gets annoying.

Definitely get the XFM shows then (though I guess they're not 'current' any more).

I wasn't sure of British copyright laws but if they are legal cool. You can find the whole collection on the bigger torrent sites if you don't want to bother downloading individual files.

Karl's Diary is probably the best written document in the history of the world.

I can't wait to see Gervais' new stand up.

fantastic stuff.

"You ever notice that all the lifts are made by a company called Schindler? Do you think it`s the same Schindler...from Schindler`s List?"

"So, it`s Schindler`s Lifts?"

God, so classic, and that`s just the first episode!

yeah I stopped listening when they started charging, but it was great. Ironically, my favorite thing from those podcasts didn't involve Karl, but was Steven telling about how he lost his suit in the Brazilian beach.

Wow at Karl's ideas about people just about to die at 78, then getting them an injection in the "temple" which would make them start aging downwards :lol

Question for Karl: If you could choose to be anyone, who would you want to be?

Karl: Bruce Willis

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

I remember the first episode I listened to was one where they were talking about midgets. I can't remember the conversation very well at all, but I do remember it was brilliant and had me hooked.

The podcasts (XFM and Ricky Gervais Show ones) are the funniest things I've ever heard.

Funnier than The Office UK, Extras, Arrested Development, Curb and Seinfeld combined.

Monkey News, Rockbusters, just them talking... all 3 are amazing esp. Karl Pilkington.

How odd, I just discovered these yesterday. Karl's movie idea with Clive Warren needs to be realized.

Actually I thought his idea was brilliant. A bit of All of me combined with the man with two brains...

Funny, I was reminded of the movie Bounce and another one where a guy falls in love with a girl who received a heart transplant from the man's former lover. Two body parts falling in love.

was it the midgets fighting the lion in Cambodia ? :lol

I just started listening to these.. I'm way late. But a huge fan Office and Extras. Hilarious stuff

I've listened to them dozens of times as well.
How many times are you going to listen to Gimme More?

Terrible rational.
These podcasts would be worth it for 5$ each considering the quality.

This thread makes me kind of sad, since it's a reminder that they haven't really recorded any new content in a year or so (last year's Xmas podcast). I hope they come back soon with some solid new stuff.

Songs are more likely to often be listened to.
Yeah, I might've said the same thing months ago when this thread started, but it's been pretty great to revisit all the old stuff I've downloaded.

And seriously, so what if it's $3 per episode? You can get probably 40-60 hours of comedy out of the free XFM downloads. So just apply that to the cost of the new podcasts and you're paying pennies for each hour of entertainment.

My only problem with these is that I have to sit in my room starring at the wall while I listen. If I put them on my ipod, I'll look like a psycho laughing uncontrollably in public.

haha.. I do exactly that at work. But I don't work with anyone (ie: hot chicks) that would cause me to be self-conscious about it.

They have released 2 new podcasts so far this fall.

1 of the "new" podcasts was from a CD collection that was released over a year ago, and as far as I can tell the other one from the FAME CDs was recorded before that.
