100 million? Really now? Guess they just slap a high number on it and see what the settlement will be.

$100 million lawsuit. Lol.
Damn.
and lmao at his apology... "not my fault... but I'm taking responsibility"
Was Ja Rule even relevant when he was relevant?
Been a good decade for me to remember.

Ja got too big for himself. He turned it down. He turned down a half a million dollars. He got 15 grand to be in the first movie. He was really big at that time. I guess Murder Inc. was throwing out hits and were making money hand over foot. He was acting like he was too big to be in the sequel. He wouldnt return calls. I went to the studio to go see him thats just my mantra, I deal with a lot of music people. He was kinda playing me to the side and I was like, What? What is this shit? This was all initiated by me. I then made a call. I called Ludacris.
Biggest mistake of his life.lol I just learned that Ja Rule got offered $15k to star in the first Fast & the Furious movie. He got offered $500k to reprise his role in the sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and he refused. They wanted to make him a recurring character.

Is there a good article summarizing the events yet? I know the basics but it would be nice to read something more organized/fleshed out about this disaster.
Read this from one of producers explaining how everything went to shit from the beginning

The event was so unorganized, they forgot to make her sign NDA lol.
The best idea, they said, would be to roll everyones tickets over to 2018 and start planning for the next year immediately. They had a meeting with the Fyre execs to deliver the news. A guy from the marketing team said, Lets just do it and be legends, man

Ja Rule said:”To living like movie stars, partying like rock stars, and fucking like porn stars."
They overlooked so many very basic things. And baby, they forgot to make me sign an NDA.
Man, I love how Ludacris got paid and continues to get paid because Ja Rule is an idiot.

Then something amazing happened: venues, bands, and people started contacting us and said theyd do anything to make this festival a reality and how they wanted to help. The support from the musical community has been overwhelming and we couldnt be more humbled or inspired by this experience. People were rooting for us after the worst day weve ever had as a company. After speaking with our potential partners, we have decided to add more seasoned event experts to the 2018 Fyre Festival, which will take place at a United States beach venue.
TFW you are Ja's lawyer and you see him issue a public statement "taking responsibility".
LMAO, no one in their right mind would like to be associated with this disaster

I met Ludacris on a long plane flight once and he was super nice. I didn't realize who it was till we deplaned and a fan ran up and asked me if I knew who it was. "Chris" I said.
Therefore he deserves those riches.

He just seems like an awesome dude, so I'm not surprised.
I just realized... his real name is Chris, and his stage name is Ludacris. Fuckkkk
Sucks for him, but it worked out better for the franchise. I can't picture Ja Rule as a genius hacker.
Ludacris sells it better.

Good, Ludacris is 1000x times better at everything Ja Rule ever did. Except being a punchline to a Dave Chappelle joke. Now that's a classic.lol I just learned that Ja Rule got offered $15k to star in the first Fast & the Furious movie. All festival goers this year will be refunded in full. We will be working on refunds over the next few days and will be in touch directly with guests with more details. Also, all guests from this year will have free VIP passes to next years festival.
"You want me to go back there?!?"
This had me in tears!
Sucks for the stuff stolen tho.
Ja won't give it to ya!
ed: holy shit! hygiene levels at all time high!
We have a green bag here, who this? * 10 hands raised
I was a Fast an the Furious fan, and I didn't even know the story about Ja Rule being offered the chance to come back for 2F2F. 2F2F was just kind of disappointing for me, then Tokyo (all new cast), it felt like the series was just over.
Whatever happened to Bowwow in the series?
Was Ja Rule even relevant when he was relevant?
Been a good decade for me to remember.
Never been to a music festival worthy of note. If this is the worst "luxury" festival, is there an example of a good one?
