I'm listening to "Slight Night Shiver" and "Close Your Eyes and Die with the Sun" and they have so much emotion in them. I like these 2 tracks from them also because they sound similar to some video game music, namely Donkey Kong Country 2.

Do any of you M83 fans have other suggestions similar to these 2 songs?

Yes I have actually posted 3 or 4 threads about this band. I like them so much. But this thread is slightly different. I want some new music similar to the 2 tracks I listed.

If you mean groups, definitely check out Air and Boards of Canada if you haven't already.

Those are some of my favorite M83 tracks. I could listen to "Close Your Eyes and Die with the Sun" for hours on loop.

I don't listen to a lot of music but it's mainly because I can't find a lot of bands like M83. :'(

The few recommendations I can give are:

- Chicane. Arizona, Pt. 1 is really good. The other tracks I have by Chicane are more like dance tracks and not my type but Arizona is belongs in your play list if you like M83.

And there's anything by:

- Sigur Ros.

- Enigma.

- Ulrich Schnauss.

- Orbital. Halcyon & On & On is the first song you should check out.

- Chrono Cross OST. Since you like videogame music you probably have this but If you don't then look for a torrent for it, there are a few around.

The funny thing is every time I start a thread about M83 or Ulrich Schnauss I get the same recommendations, but it's okay. The only one I haven't heard of is Chicane. Thanks Chrono, I will "try" them out after work tonight.

Chicane sounds more trancey than the other ones... but I duly recommend them. One of teh first artists I started listening to when I got into electronic music. Some of their old stuff like "Sunstroke" and "Offshore" are absolute trance classics.
