PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS oh god i am drowning in them
Okay, I want to cut down the time I spend copying and pasting to and from Safari and JEDict (Japanese dictionary). I tried using Moji with Firefox, but it isn't as good as JEDict.
Basically what I want to do is this.
1) Highlight some text.
2) Hit a key combo.
3) Have the selected text be pasted into JEDict's search box and have it search.
I kinda-sorta-maybe remember sending commands between apps when I was doing windows coding YEARS ago, but my mind is fuzzy and this is a Mac.
Am I out of luck, or is there something that could be done?

Well, it isn't possible through Automator's default available actions, that's for sure. I'd think copy/paste would be obvious things for this, but apparently not.

Your best shot is either Automator (automatorworld.com for more actions) or just plain old AppleScript. Both are capable of doing what you want.
