Madden 360 images

I have a few question regarding the stadiums. A stadium with a retractable roof, can you decide as the home team, to play with the roof on or off? Can you close the roof mide game due to massive winds etc? Baseball diamonds during baseball season? Is the lighting in the stadium dependant on the real stadium lighting or is it faked and just uniformly lit for every stadium regardless of lighting schemes?

I dunno, looking at them real close again and the stadium blows me away but the player I just think is meh. Face is great, don't get me wrong, but the rest seems like there's something missing. Guess that's what the next 4 or 5 months are for.
 
I had talked myself out of getting an X360, telling myself there weren't any games I really wanted for it.

Then I remembered this :(
 
DCX, I think that Madden 2005 allowed for open and closed stadiums and the only difference was the shadows. Mostly daytime showdows from the opening in our roof. I am thinking the power of the 360 and PS3 will allow for real-time lighting and shadows. In Reliant stadium, the shadows really are extreme during the game. I really hope that the sun progression is in the 360 version. I don't like the whole, shadows change only at the beginning of quarters thing. I would like it more gradual.

I also hope that the Philly trailer we all have seen 118372 times indicates that we will have stadium fly-bys to start the game. Some stadiums have really cool exteriors.

Yeah, there are even alot of challenges in broadcasting games from Reliant. Many a game CBS has broadcast has looked like crap because of the extreme lighting differences during a day game. Capturing that in a videogame has to be quite a challenge. But it must say something about your skills if they put you on it.

Either way, I really look forward to seeing it.
 
Oh man. A couple teaser, early build pics. Looks pretty good right now. I just want to see this game in motion but we'll probably have to wait until October after the XBox and PS2 versions of 2006 have sold 4 million copies. EA don't want to lose sales of this gen game I'm guessing.
 
Looks pretty, but then again NFL2K looked pretty....


I hope EA puts in stuff like weekly prep and that stuff. If we MUST get Madden, then bring back the ambulance!

Are you guys really still developing on 360 alpha kits like Allard is saying or is that bs?? I just find it hard to believe that with only 5 months to go in development, companies are still only using alpha kits. If this is true, what in the world is the hold up?

Also, by comparison, are the PS3 kits as early as 360's or are they further along and closer to the metal?

everyones still using alpha, and i dont know anything about the ps3

Hmmm, so the alpha dev kits do not even contain the actual hardware that will go into the 360 right?

Well then, it's safe to say that 360 titles don't even look anywhere near as good as they will once the final kits are shipped. Am I correct on that?

Depends on the developer and how they are coping with the issue.

Er..it ran fine for me. Don't use WMP. ;)
 
It wasn't horribly stuttering for me, but I did have some problems, and my computer is pretty good. Both WMP and Winamp had the same problem.

For that guy's sake I hope what really happened is he was storing a juicebox inside his shirt for later drinking and he accidentally crushed it in his armpit.
 
You're both wrong. Observe the shirt. The back of it is that darker colour, the front is lighter. The area at his armpit just happens to be where you're seeing the back half of the shirt.
