Now that everyone has had a couple days to let the feeling sink in, I need to know who is in and who is out! If you don't want to play because you don't like the gameplay, because of the lag you may encounter, because you don't have time, or for WHATEVER reason, just let me know. if you do want to play post as well. I need to know what i'm working with.

to be clear: after playing the game for nearly a week the league will infact be on 360. i debated with doing it on ps2 because a lot of the vets seem to prefer that but there is just too much interest in the 360 version and too many people want a league on 360. if enough people want i could possibly be persuaded to do a ps2 league, but my priorities are with 360. i feel it is a quality game online (all madden) and i can live with the lag i've experienced against east coasters (it is what it is, maybe it will improve maybe not).

so, who is in? (p.s. i don't give a crap what team you want right now! just state whether you are in for the league or not)

I haven't spent much quality time with All Madden online, but count me as a tentative in.

In All Madden: How are the deep bombs? How are post corner routes? Do backs actually block in pass protection? Last thing I want is say someone with the Panthers or hell even the Giants with a good Dline and a decent vertical threat to just launch balls up there and blitz all day.

You know what I think would be a good idea would be a 32 man tournament. We can see how shit shakes out and maybe develop a set of rules? I'd be down for that.

Count me as Tentative. I'm going to move my 360 so I can hardwire it in to the router, should improve my net speed. Need some more testing. Also, need more testing at All-Madden.

A 32 man tourny might work as a "test environment" for how it'll shape out, as long as I still have Seattle at the end ;)

I'm in, but I'm moving in one week so I'll have a couple days where I probably won't be able to play at all. I haven't played the game yet (just got my copy in the mail today) so I'm pretty excited to start playing it. Off I go.........

Im in. the only problem that seemed to be surfacing for me was the lag/disconnect issues I was having last night but it seems like that may have been totally on my side.

I promise to at the very least play one complete season.

I'm in but I've been too busy this week to get a game in online. So I would like to play some this weekend to see if my connection will be any good.

Malley had made some comments about what he did to fix some latency issues with his router. If anyone knows what he did and how to try it on mine I would appreciate the help. I have a Linkys router.

If the router is a Linksys WRT54G v5, start with a firmware flash. Tom's Hardware covered exactly how horrible these routers are in an article a while back. The firmware revision notes can be found here, and make me wonder exactly how functional the router was to begin with if fixes like, "Resolves issue with DHCP WAN connection not acquiring the correct IP", "Resolves issue with accessing online game servers", and "Resolves issue with using subnets other than 255.255.255.0" are just being addressed in the sixth firmware revision.

In general, Linksys FTL. I've had much better success, in both personal and professional experience, with D-Link, Netgear, and Belkin gear.

EDIT: True, is it possible for you to connect the 360 directly to your cable/DSL modem? At least this way you can verify that it truly is a router issue and not something else.

wow thats the router I have. Ive always been a little suspicious about it but I never bothered to read any reviews of it. its a router after all!

In All Madden:
How are the deep bombs? if you are playing the correct defense a long bomb will be completed 1 out of 10 times tops. If you are in 1 on 1 coverage with Steve Smith what do you think should happen on a deep pass most of the time?

How are post corner routes? They are still abusable, just like they were in madden 06 xbox/ps2. this isn't exclusive to the 360 version. and no, even shading receivers didn't 100% fix it in current gen madden :D

Do backs actually block in pass protection? hit and miss. still head scratching "blocking" assignments but what can you do? pass defense is highly improved.

Last thing I want is say someone with the Panthers or hell even the Giants with a good Dline and a decent vertical threat to just launch balls up there and blitz all day - again play on all madden and see if you notice a difference. not saying it's a totally different game but try it out

not really. you had 2 runs that shouldn't have happened and a KR TD. i actually worked for my yardage unlike your free phantom runs!

p.s. i tore your defense up the first half. i think alex was 16/18, 160 yards and a touchdown. i was practicing my passing game or else you wouldn't have sniffed the lead (just like when i crushed you last time :D )

only when i went to more 3/4 wide did i start making mistakes. now i know where my passing game must be

in the 4th quarter and out of 3/4 wide sets. you still can't cover VD and you know that. i didn't even bust out the plays where he gets outside on your LB on PA. but then again that is for league play.

p.s. here is a hint: on said play if you are playing man defense there is essentially no way to stop it unless you have a very fast LB or a CB on him. but the trick is when will i run it? most likely when you are in a 4-3 and have to cover him with your joke of a LB. also keep in mind im using the WORST TEAM IN THE GAME! but no excuses, i'll win the superbowl anyways

I still like the game but damn am I awful at this on All Pro compared to where I was on NCAA. How soon is this tournament? I might be able to round into playing shape over the next few days.
