It depends on what you're expecting. The DS has more polygon power than the Zodiac, so the DS version uses polygonal players, whereas the Zodiac version appears to be using scaled sprites. On the other hand, the Zodiac clearly has an distinct advantage in the screen resolution department.

That's true. You'd think that they'd have a larger scoring display (in the corner of the screen), and maybe a slightly larger font for the player names. They also wasted an enormous amount of space on the playcalling screen--it looks like they took it directly from the regular 320x320 Palm OS version, without tailoring it for the Zodiac's higher horizontal resolution.
The DS version suffers from a similar font size problem, too. The play summaries are presented in this teeny-weeny font with 5x3 characters, which is difficult to read on such a small screen. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the button designations for your receivers are so gigantic that you could probably use them to flag down a rescue helicopter.
