He's actually implying Titans were good for the game?
Cool, the first reply already ruined any interest I might have had of reading the rest the AMA. :)

We had a preconstructed tourny at my place yesterday and my buddy's R/G Rampant Growth deck was wrecking everyone. Infernal and Primeval Titans all on the board at the same time was not fun to deal with! Luckily, I didn't have to play him in the finals. A R/W/B deck took him out with the 4/1 sac creature to make indestructible vamp.

Why are WW's considered a weak deck again? I almost lost to it. Immerwolf is a real pain to deal with. Huntmasters in any deck has shown why it's worth $30. Daybreak Ranger flipped is just plain scary. If they have that low cmc enchantment out there, even if you wipe the board, they can regenerate. To me, it's a solid deck.

U/B Zombies are still a mixed bag for me. It feels pretty good some time but never amazing.

Wandering, you got any Black and Green Sun's Zenith?

Yeah, I have 4 of each. I haven't forgotten about my list. It's my "fun" project for the weekend.

Well, if ME3 doesn't get in the way.

Anybody have any Eldrami, Lord of Leaves, Adaptive Automaton or Dense Foilage?

They are considered weak because Huntmaster and Ranger are the only cards that are consistently good. A 3 mana 2/2 doesn't make the rest playable when you still need to flip them in the first place.

How does that even work?

I had someone try to go off with a Vintage Belcher deck w/ Leyline of Ancitpation once. No joke (he lost to mindbreak trap).

My current Legacy modo brew, if anyone is interested:

You run over fair decks looking to attrition via spot removal, you beat linear "fair" decks like Burn and Affinity because of Mystic and threat density, and Thalia+wasteland really hobbles the unfair decks. It's a riff of two different decks (the Angel Stompy Doug McKay top8'd twice at Jupiter and Wescoe's GP Providence deck that did well last year at that event) that I've come to respect over the last couple of months.

Against the big decks in the format:

- U/W Stoneblade is almost a bye, your deck has way too many cards they can't beat. I usually just run them over and then control their GY post-board with Relics and Crucible and Canopy/Waste.
- RUG Delver is good for you preboard, but they can be even post-board if they have both Ancient grudge AND Rough/Tumble. The Relics are insane against them.
- Maverick is weird, it plays out sort of like the Maverick mirror only you have crucible, which if they can't kill they lose to real fast. Metamorph is an all-star.
- Burn - You have too many dudes that they have to kill-Thalias and the Mystics, and you have three lifegain equipment. Things can get hairy on the draw and I might want another Spellskite (it's a trump for the Maverick MU as well, as it turns off their Mother of Runes) in the board.
- Storm - If you know they are on Storm you can try to mulligan for Thalia.Post-board you get enough hatebear density + spellskites to reliably protect vs. slaughter pact/chain of vapor. Belcher is a pretty bad MU, but the turn 2 kill from TES/ANT is not reliable (and Empty the Warrens is not something they can really do). This isn't a great MU but it's only 8-10% of the field and their decks can poop themselves/lose to wasteland (in the case of TES).
- Affinity - Pretty good, closer to even if they are on the Tezzeret/Thoughtcast plan. You have a lot of removal against them post-board and Manriki-Gusari completely shuts off plating.

Really fun deck. A bit off the beaten path from what I normally play, but you attack the format from the Maverick approach but from an angle that doesn't get hosed by Perish and has more evasion alongside a better grind-out game vs. control decks.

Edit: this deck gets way worse if people figure out that Engineered Explosives is an extremely powerful card in this format, but people are dummies and want to just jam in more snapcaster-able spells in their deck.

By the way, whoever came up with me throwing in the gutshots on my illusion deck...you're my hero.

Those things ALWAYS catch people by surprise. I had a game on the line last night, the guy was down to 6, I had 7, and he had a fatty that I vapor bounced. Next turn I swung with my phantom dragon, then guts hotted him.

Only red card in the deck. Beautiful. Plus, it's great against elfs. Screw your llanowar, buddy.

Yeah Gutshot , kills 1st turn Bird of paradise, Delver and many other nasties.

Noobie alert: How do you trade? I got the list of cards and the price already.

Thanks a lot
I don't have the client with me so I will have to do this from memory.

Go to Menu > Community > Classifieds

This should bring up a list of people looking to trade.

In the search box, type in MarlonBot, or one of the specific names of the Marlon bots, which can be found on their site. Beware, there are a lot of imposter bots who put "marlon" in their ad to fool users. They won't rip you off, or anything, but if you want all your credit in one place (and credit is important when 1 ticket (aka tix) is equivalent to $1, you should stick to one "series" of bots, because they share credit.

Then select an open bot, right click and select "Open Trade". Pay attention to the chatbox and it'll guide you to how to buy cards with tix, or trade for other cards. It's a bit confusing at first, and every bot uses a slightly different process, but eventually you'll get used to it.

Yeah, you're awesome! Thanks!

So, I have a Geist of St. Taft and a Havengul. I need to come up with a way to get them both in my deck.

Geist is awesome in a humans deck if you can slap an Angelic Destiny or a sword on him. I was running him in my U/W deck for the longest. Vapor Snag any possible blockers and get dmg thru. You just gotta make him evasive somehow.

Havengul I removed from my zombie deck. He's just too expensive if you ask me. I dunno, I may try him again and see how well he does.

Just bumpin' up my card sales; a bunch of people seemed interested, but it all fell through/they stopped messaging back D:

I have moar shit now :3 Pretty much everything in Standard you could imagine. Drop me a PM for specifics~

Also holy shit, MTGO is like free money.

Well, I could use 3 more Geists...lol

I've only got two, but one's a foil! Don't you want a supershiny geist~~~? :3

(Also you probably shouldn't be running 4 geists. Just run another Phantasmal Image in that fourth geist slot if you're afraid of -other- geists.)

Eh, I will never pay the foil premium. What are you looking for that other one though?

Goin' rate seems to be 20, so 17-18 on the other one. Drop me a PM with anything else you might be looking for; I've got it all.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT they're @ 28 on SCG? Whatever, 17-18 is still good for me.

Oh, and just so there's content: This is what happens when you force a Vengeance deck in DKA/ISD/ISD. Shit gets hilarious fast...

EDIT: THIS IS HOW THE 1750S DRAFT BITCH XDDDDD

So, so, SO hilariously bad. I can't wait to play this shitshow.

EDIT: Won round 1 with that mess. Hahaha.

Ok too many people on MTGsalvation are morons.
Some are messaging me offering trades for other cards, some are offering gen 1 ipads or psps and whatnot.
I thought I was pretty clear what I wanted lol.

That was one of the best Legacy matches I've seen. Had everything-the insane Perish topdeck in G2, the burn vs. Jace race in G3, just all sorts of insane (but fair!) plays that make the format the best format in the game.

The Belgian list where Tom Martell and Sam worked from is reallly sick. I found it on Thursday night when TC Decks posted it and immediately started jamming it, and it's extraordinarily powerful. It'll definitely be a template for most UW Stoneforge decks going forward (you don't need to run heavy black to support Lingering Souls).

Could PI copy an opponent's Geist though? I know Phyrexia Metamorph can but I'm not sure about PI.

Is there anything that can clone a Planeswalker so as to similarly torpedo one? Or is Oblivion Ring and Beast Within (and Hex Parasite, which I love) the best we get?

Play a planeswalker of your own with the same name.

Well yeah. I know you can kill one by playing one of the same sub type. That's why I want to clone one for cheap. And not really because there aren't better ways to deal with one or anything. Just curious.

I guess you can Liquimetal Coating a Planeswalker and then have Phyrexian Metamorph copy it.

Are there any cards that actually Clone any permanent?

Many of the clone types target, so he was just being sure that it did not target (which it doesn't)

Yeah, I was thinking it may have said copy TARGET creature but nevermind. That's why I need a set of Phantasmal Images. D:

You really have to play around a Planeswalker.
Blue: Counter Spell. Also think there's a return target permanent to hand spell.
Black: Distress/Despise and remove it from their hands
White: O-ring
Red: Burn spells
Green: Beast Within
Artifacts: Hex Parasite/Ratchet Bombs (though I don't see that many counters being put on RB much)

I need a list of good creatures that have the abilities to bring an enchantment to the battlefield or to my hand.

Only thing I can think of atm is a Sun Titan although the enchantment has to be cmc3 or less.

How many decks do you all keep assembled at a time?

I think I currently have 7 after I put together a black/white humans deck last night entirely in order to get to use the 3 Ravenous Demons I have.

The others I have are:
*Somewhat effective Standard decks*
-WUB Spirits which is slowly transitioning to Delver/Spirits
-GB Birthing Pod

*Decks built for casual play and/or because I had some cards I wanted to use*
-RB creature destruction with a bunch of big mana creatures at the top end for multiplayer
-RG Werewolves
-GW Golems
-Blue control (mostly to give my friend who is new to the game some experience playing against it)

One of these days I'll make an EDH deck if I can convince my other friends to do it too.
