Good. We dropped somewhere between 7 and 8k today at a PTQ. Picked up a complete 4x set of revised duals and lots of other goodies.

Hey, if you ever decide to franchise in SoCal, let me know. ;)

The legacy scene...has it always been this stagnant? Seems like there are about 6-7 decks you can run and expect to win with.

You can play games for free, yes. Just when you get into the tournaments that you need an entry fee.

Yea there is a "just for fun room" where you run into all kinds of random craziness and a tournament practice room where you'll run into more serious decks.

That's what I figured. I'm so tempted so I can deck test stuff. Deck testing online seems like a dream but I probably definitely wouldn't want to replace the physical game though. :/

Oh, just do it already. It's much cheaper, you can play all the time and test all kinds of crazy ass decks.

For instance, G/B Zombies will work, dammit.

I love seeing the crazy brews in the Just for Fun room; sadly, most of the players there are total garbage. The Tournament Practice room is usually pretty good though.

Five-Color Control!

Eh, there might have always been 6 or 7 T1 decks, but what those decks comprised of has always been pretty fluid, but this cycle does seem to be lasting a little longer than most.

Yea instead of playing once a week you can play like a billion hours a week.

The only bad thing about MTGO is that it's completely halted any progress I was making through my steam backlog. Whenever I sit down to play something I just end up playing magic for 4 hours.

Ya, but I really like the physical game and don't want to give that up every week but paying for both is pretty sucky. :/ I don't have that much spare cash...

And the mid for bonfire is fucking $40 now? Fuck that card, sucks I was completely broke when it was $25. Fucking ridiculous.

Why hasn't anyone made a NeoGAF clan on MTGO?

And why don't I have all you guys on my buddy list?

More like what happend to the cockatrice group to test decks for free? Rich motherfuckers >:(
:(

I have a set of bonfires that I'm sitting on strictly to sell later. I feel bad, but I have them and they keep going up in price.

I'm jelly. :(

So what decks are everyone playing for standard? I kind of like the off kilter decks like this elf wave and thinking about doing a burn at the stack or something similar but not sure.

Grixis control is my only serious deck. Pretty much because I like casting Nicol Bolas.

When I'm not playing serious, I love Angel of Glory's Rise Reanimator, Splinterfright, and occasionally durdling around with Undead Alchemy.

I'm still playing my G/W Human Descendants' Path deck. It's wrecking pretty much everything. Of course, my toughest matchup is Delver, which makes it nearly irrelevant :(

I'm gonna shift gears from Naya Pod to some sort of Trading Post control build, maybe mono-white. I'm sick of trying to outspeed everyone. I'd like to dictate the pace for a change.

I got kinda busy and drafting is a bitch. :/ There wasn't too much interest either probably because it's a PITA to work with Cockatrice compared to Apprentice.

Once Solforge comes out we can turn MTGGAF into TCGGAF and just draft there all day.

I'm not really interested in that.

I just with M:tG:Online would revamp the GUI already and include a "dick around" mode for casual play. Though that would eat into their server costs and shit, so maybe make it a subscription or something per month?

I only have one feature request for MTGO:

Private drafts.

Seriously. Give us private drafts.

Wouldn't be bad, if people had to bring one booster each to "eat the cost"/share the cost of the draft along with like an event ticket or something. $2-5(?) bucks to do a private draft each wouldn't be bad and would be pretty easy money for Wizards.

Make it cost the same as a regular draft and have the same prize structure, just don't give out the points or whatever that they give out to the winner.

I'd just like to be able to open up Mumble and draft with GAF.

Wow, prices are a lot cheaper online. If I didn't have so many friends for physical I would do online in a heartbeat. :(

Is there any reason to have more than 2 tamiyos? I need them for grixis but doubt it's worth having a playset.

Just got mtgo, doubt ill be doing any serious play, just mostly casuals to test out different decks

What are some of the best trading bots available for mtgo btw, i would like to recreate my r/w hummie deck and play with it before it stops being standard

CardWorld is all you need.

Avoid Supernova, their prices are just hilariously high.

MTGO Academy and MTGO Traders tend to have the best prices that I've been able to find.

Currently playing UR delver. It started as a copy of Todd Anderson's RUG Delver, but dryad just wasn't cutting it, and augur of bolas is just stupid good at carrying runechanter's pike.

As for bots, I use AlphaBot, BcCardBot and _BestPrice_ for buying from, and TheBuyBot for selling to.

Also I never considered Supernova to be expensive, since they consistently have lower prices than Marlonbots or Cardbots.

Gonna have to check out MTGOAcademy once RtR comes out.

I paid $16 for my 4 Bonfires. $24 for my Thragtusks.

Preorders are a very good thing if you learn to pay attention to price movements.

Bonfire is definitely the XF3 Wesker of the game right now.

It's kind of funny seeing a mono-red card being so stupidly high in price. With that said I think it might be at its peak.

I'm kind of wondering if it will be poised well in standard after Scars block rotates out. Gonna be a big shake up.

See, a topdeck fireball everything seems to work in the vast majority of matchups. Unless stuffy doll becomes the new delver, damage be damage and will always be good

It's not even mono-red, though, its just 1 Red. That's why it's so busted. Naya Aggro plays like, 10 red sources total for it, but its not even an issue.

It will be even better after rotation, because right now it actually has some competition from Whipflare and Slagstorm in certain types of decks. The red sweepers in Innistrad block are either absurdly bad (Rolling Temblor) or just entirely too situational (Blasphemous Act).

Like Hero said, it's about time a red card got printed that was stupidly useful. If you're building with blue, why not snapcaster...if building with red, why not bonfire? It's always useful.

Indeed. And I wish I could afford to pick yours up, but $35 a piece is just too much to ask haha It's SUCH a good card though. I gotta find myself some cheap Entreats in the meantime.

U/R Delver is such a fun deck, especially with Invisible Stalker. Swinging for 9 unblockable and hexproof just seems so unfair.

If you promise to play with them, and not just resell, I'd be willing to work out an amicable trade. They're wasting away in my house. I only get to play in a store maybe once a month now.

After rotation, based on Avacyn block and M13, what do you guys think will replace the Ichor and Mycosynth Wellsprings for card draw in an artifact control deck?

Oh, we are going to talk about this via PM my friend.
