Just to clarify here, X-Men (mameox) and both D&D games (fbax) run absolutely perfect on xbox. 4 players works like a champ too if the game supports it. And since someone else brought it up, Neo Geo (fbax) runs perfect on Xbox as well.
Mame for fighting games, NeoGeo, Capcom all fighters for me!!!!
PS2 for everything else.
But all in all my vote will have to go.... PS2
Ohh and one other thing, Naked Shuriken how dare you use the other half of my AVATAR!!!!! Thats such a cute Japanese girl, to bad she's like 15.... or 12... or..... 10... I can't tell /runs off crying.
Unfortunately, it isn't very good. 68K emulation (ironically enough) is glitchy in most of the recent versions (meaning that NeoGeo support is spotty at best, among other things), and MacMAME is about a dozen point releases behind the flagship MAME project at any given time.
There are a number of very good emulators on the Mac, but MacMAME isn't one of them.
Here's the thing though.....as much as I love Mame's enourmaous library, I dunno how I could live without Ridge Racer V, VF4 Evo, THPS 3 & 4, THUG 1 and 2 (multi-platform= disqualified!), GT4, and the ridiculous amount of RPGs. It's a really hard decision if I take that into consideration.
Sorry, but let's be honest- is the PS2 library better than a majority of systems before it? You could better compare it to the GBA, which has a comparable timespan and library.
