Finished watching the DVD and maan this movie is great. It's everything I wanted The Punisher to be: A relentless badass killing people. :D
Nothing held back, no super-quick edits, no pg-13 torture, full-on ass kicking.

The editing also deserves a nod, as it was damned good. Denzel puts on the usual great performance, wtf was Marc Anthony doing in this movie?

Too bad the DVD has absolutely no extras. Not even a measly trailer.

What did the bitchy critics of GAF think of it?

Dead

well not really...yet

I'm going to rent it tomorrow. I tried to rent it last week but Hollywood Video was out of stock so I got a free rental. Woo!

I thought it dragggggged on. Felt really slow, except for about the last 40 or so minutes. Odd that I still liked it quite a bit. Denzel and Walken are just THAT damned good I guess.

I really liked it... my favorite thing about it, as silly as it may sound, was the subtitling.

As someone who's used various subbing apps before, I was really impressed with how they did it... starting off slow at first and then really putting some effort into the later subs so there was minimal conflicts with the background texture/color and readability.

I loved it, thought it was one of the best movies I'd seen all year. I agree with the subtitle comments too, I thought the style it put into the subtitles was pretty cool.

And nothing beats that torture scene in the car with Oye Como Va and a spanish version of "Hey Mickey" playing in the background.
