Idol Pretender 8

Oh shit son. Good luck talking your way out of this one.

Hayate 369

Rare footage of Isumi actually angry.

Tbh that isn't really that impressive (I think One Piece and Naruto look better here) though Magi does have some nice art at times. It isn't something I'd call amazing to look at. Magi's strongpoint tends to lie in it's adventure aspect mixed in with awesome characters.

Mayo Chiki! 21

Don't help her Kanade. Take that chicken for yourself!

Break Blade 55

Rygart almost snapped. Hope his personality doesn't change completely. Dammit Hodr, just let Sigyn go. She obviously doesn't love you.

OZ (TOKIYA Seigo) Vol.1

I let the cover sucker me in. While I was a little disappointed by the art inside (it's not as detailed as I'd have hoped/expected), the setting is nice, a virtual world in which everyone "lives" and where there is no pain, at least until our hero finds a certain card and unknowingly sets in motion some dangerous events that put his life at risk.
I found the Wizard of Oz stuff inserted interestingly in the story (Dorothy, the Lion, the shoes, etc), though I would have liked Dorothy to be the real protagonist, instead of being a co-lead with Yuuri.

Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan Vol.1

Differently from Oz, this has a more intriguing art style (I love how Yotsuya's expression looks as psychotic as his personality appears to be). It's a mystery/horror, in which the horror is based around a guy, Yotsuya, telling horror stories centered on some mysteries that Makoto, a girl, asks him to solve. Through those stories, Yotsuya solves the mysteries, though he claims he has no interest in that, his only interest is in creating the best horror story and listening to the screams of people terrorized by his stories.
While the art fits the creepy atmosphere, I feel there is something a bit weak in the way the story unfolds, though I can't really point it out.

Hm. It goes battle manga but it gets into a lot of meta commentary about what makes a battle manga and what makes a WSJ manga. I wouldn't really say it's that silly or strange, honestly. It does troll occasionally though.
Does the manga address the people who aren't reading a WSJ manga because they are skeptical about the enjoyment of reading a WSJ manga which does meta commentary about what makes a WSJ manga a WSJ battle manga?
All of them. Maybe the author is going for a satire of the harem genre by making his harem so large it will encompass every single competitive organization in Japan.
It's like Monopoly with harem candidates.

The best kind of Monopoly.

Don't really have the time these days to manga fish. I would need good reason to kick off other reads for this one. And I see mixed opinions here.

I can't guarantee that you'll end up enjoying Medaka Box, and to many its a time skip. I will however, state outright that Medaka Box surpasses the WSJ manga you read right now (barring One Piece.). If you want a battle manga that's clever, and filled to the brim with likeable characters than this is the manga for you. Don't read it because of its satirical nature; that's merely a bonus, not an actual reason to read the entire thing. If I were a betting man, i'd bet my account on this; you read Medaka Box and you'll end up greatly enjoying it.

EDIT: After finishing the 2nd main arc, I can say without a doubt that this manga is special. Even losers have their time in the spotlight.

Shingeki no Kyojin 35
Donkey Kong caught me off-guard, the titans show interest in human technology now? Is it next month yet?

Incidentally, this is the best speech made in any WSJ manga ever. Made me tear up :(

I want to beat them. Even though I'm not cool, or strong, or just, or beautiful, or cute, or pretty, I want to beat the cool, strong, just, beautiful, cute, and pretty people. Even though I wasn't blessed with talent, even though I'm stupid and have a bad personality, have bad grades, am misguided and am a good for nothing, I want to beat the talented, smart, likeable, overachieving people. I want to beat those with friends when I can't have friends. I want to beat the people who work hard when I can't work hard. I want to beat the the victorious people when I can't win. I want to beat the happy people when I'm miserable. Even if I'm hated, even if I'm despised, even if I'm useless, I want to prove that I'm better than the main characters!"

Nice avatar Akito ;)

Nisekoi

Didn't some of you want Onodera to go yandere? Now look what happened, you guys can't ever wish for something :(

I love her and she's the best thing ever conceived from little brain electrons (her face when she first sees Raku, oh my liver), but with this kind of setup, it's sorta like.. how can she ever win this. Harem ending aside, it's a bit on the impossible end of the rainbow. It's a bit cruel.

I love how the dad doesn't even care about the Mafia conflict now. He just lets Raku deal with it.

Magico 65 END:

Horribly rushed ending but there wasn't much else to expect after the cancellation confirmation and the last 3-4 chapters. Not really going to miss this series much though to be honest. It had potential but it never "picked up the pace" enough.

I don't like the Naruto one, but that's just because the eyes don't really look sad at all.

The Bleach one captures the emotion without going crazy. The One Piece one just looks silly.

I thought that's what really sells it. like he still can't believe he's gone. he's trying to act strong and hold it in, but it just come out without him realizing it. it's all just started to sink in.

You know looking back at the 1st chapter of Nisekoi, I'm suspecting there will be another girl with a key. Marika here had short hair when she was young but the girl Raku promised have long hair.

Gantz
Paced like Bleach, with none of the charm nor flair. Why won't this stupid manga just end already? So now the ones on the ship are still fighting? What's KEI-CHAN!!! gonna do now that he's back on earth? This...this makes no sense. PEACE.

i like naruto's the best, i liked this one too.

now this one I don't like. I understand why she cried because she just realized that Sasuke has really gone nuts and just tried to kill her, but seems a bit inappropriate crying that hard in the middle of battle zone. dunno, shouldn't anger comes first before grief? she's almost getting pierced by Chidori.

also, why do Karin cares if Sakura is sad or not anyway.

sakura is a dumbass, but i like the drawing. karin cries because she's a woman in naruto, what else is there for her to do?

Shingeki no Kyojin 35:

Funny that the most beast like Titan is the first one to speak. This new Titan just creates even more questions though. Besides his intelligence, looks, and ability to order the other Titans around, from the questions he asked in this chapter we know that not only is he not human/can't turn into one, but he can't even be affiliated with the group that Annie is in since he would have been able to learn about the human's technology through them. And considering he wanted to take the weapon back with him, he must be working with other Titans. So now we have a second "group" behind the scenes and more questions about where the Titans are coming from.

Medaka Box 92

This series doesn't even bother to have downtime between the "lol, actually there are more powerful people to fight after you fought what was previously thought of as the most powerful in the universe" or well, there's probably a shorter name for that battle manga trope but whatever.

I think we're safe with thinking that the second hole was not related to the first hole. As in, the first hole was created by a different group than the one that caused the second.

That is, if there really are different alliances within the Titan side. For all we know the hairy side are the "majority", while Annie's group are a tiny rebel group who are doing their own thing. And then there's than entire notebook nonsense, where the dude prayed to the human.

The thing is that the hairy guy wasn't even interested in eating the human. Hell, we still haven't seen an intelligent Titan who was interested in eating humans. And also, all the titans understood him completely, so they understood human language. They might even be tricked into a certain groupthink if the humans manage to broadcast an edit on his voice.

And last, it's not really that confusing that he isn't a human/can't turn into a human. All titans we've seen so far except for Annie and Eren are like that.. so basically, Annie and Eren are the "exceptions", not the other way around. It normally isn't possible for humans to switch to titans or the other way around, intelligent or not. Makes sense.. you can't expect every single titan to be a human who was injected the thing Eren was (and I assume Annie too).

He did talk about the back of his neck, but I doubt he has a human there. I think it'll be more like a brain or core nerve organ there, or any other subversion of a human. In the case that he really does have a normal human there, I doubt it could just be separated from him, he's probably completely combined with the Titan muscles.
