On the topic of Rock Lee:
After finishing Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4's story mode and realising once again just how dumb the series got, going through adventure mode and reliving some of the older fighting scenes in the series really shows just how much better it was. Rock Lee fights especially were hype as hell. Hidden Lotus was such an awesome attack, his fights always kept me at the edge of my seat. It's ridiculous thinking back on how hard earned a simple Rasengan was, or what it meant to have Kurama's chakra, only to later see power-ups without rhyme or reason in a bosh rush with shallow villains.
I'm actually not even sure anymore if Bleach truly ended on a worse arc than Naruto.
Could someone make a new Bleach game for that?

A manga I didn't know what was about I choose to read because the cool cover
and the author herself, she did before Eternal Sabbath which I liked it.
It happens to be a short story compilation volume (god another one!), with four stories:
A Strange Gene: Not bad, it has a nice twist though it isn't that original (hint it also appears in a Leonardo DiCaprio movie). The problem is that I felt the story was too compressed, the character study that is done feels rushed and unnatural because of this.
Strange Trait: A writer reminiscences about an old friend and writes a book about her, and her fascinating personality, and how things were not as they seemed at first, and how people change with time. I liked the end part, how in the end, the really interesting thing was her viewpoint, more than her friend.
The Rainbow Fish: Possibly semi biographical 'realistic' story about a student art, from being a small child to adulthood, and the marvel and cynicism that humans can have about art.
Damned Sun: Edgy, weird girl meets guy who
, changing her forever. It's a so typical story, and I don't think this version is particularly good. In fact at the start of this week I've read another story with the same plot of another author! Their personality feels weird and just out of this world.
In summary I liked Rainbow Fish and Strange Trait.

The problem with including rape in comic books is that the artists or publishers aren't willing to horrify and offend people. If you need something like that it has to be gut-wrenching and hard to read. As soon as you're unwilling to evoke that level of emotion you're pandering. There's no such thing as an inoffensive rape scene. Any attempt automatically reads as distasteful and it's either off-putting or pornography.

For the time in which Berserk's infamous rape scene happened it was horrifying. You can't look at it from a 2017 perspective since he probably would have handled it differently in today's market.
Heck I'd say it's still a ghastly scene that makes Griffith look like a scumbag and shows how cruel it is when Caska becomes a mute after it which is what it should. Its only been in recent years with the warriors game and some recent anime promotional figures that they've made the rape scene pandered for the audience.

I hope this has some good success or something. Honestly, all I really want is a Spirit Circle anime (How has this not happened yet? Its freaking perfect for an anime!) and this is coming from someone who usually loathes anime adaptations of manga.
It should be mentioned that the scene is supposed to be a little (Sorry, this is the best way I can think of describing it) tantalizing, a little sexy. Not for the usual reasons, but to make the reader more uncomfortable with not just what they're reading but with themselves as well for enjoying the scene even just a little. I think that little bit of tantalization makes the scene way more fucked up than other more shock value scenes in the series. It creates a cognitive dissonance in a person's head and that kind of stuff tends to fuck with people a lot more.
