Panda I think a lot of online shopping in the US is built around the "free returns" concept, so I'm not sure how that works if you're ordering to South Africa. It could be pretty risky to order online if you don't have the ability to return something that ends up being too large/too small/doesn't look nice.

Yeah, it could be really risky especially if I'm paying a bit more for shipping and better quality. Guess I'll have to stick to the (terrible) local brands. Maybe I just have to step my local game up. Sigh.

Not necessarily, you just have to try to find some outlets that allow you do free returns internationally. I haven't really looked into it so I don't know how it works, but maybe the European brands would be better suited to your situation?

Maybe. I've found paying in dollars tends to be cheaper as apposed to Euros, though. Or maybe that's just the way it seems. I think that in the USA, the low end stores seem to be more fashionable while still better priced. Here, you pay shit you get shit. Overseas it seems to be different. Pay kinda shit, get shit with sprinkles.
