I seem to remember hearing Miyamoto talk about how he'd always wanted Fox to be able to jump out of his Arwing and battle on the ground way back in the day. In fact, I think it was when Dinosaur Planet was still around, but before it was changed to Starfox Adventures.

So that might be the reason. I too would just prefer a straight shooter, though I suppose if they could pull the idea of changing vehicles or not even using one well, it could be great. Doesn't look like they've quite got it this time.

Man I'm upset about that 6.5 at Ys 6... that game deserves better. Bad voice acting is enough to dock it 3.5 points???

Do they mention if the X-Box version of WE8 is superior in any way (graphics, slowdown) other than having inferior controls? I bought a DS2 adapter for my X-Box, but if the X-Box version has no advantages I'll probably just buy the PS2 version.

They don't say anything one way or another.

So, what did they say about Ys 6 that they didn't like? Aside from the voice acting.

And I've seen quite a few magazines dock quite a few points off games for bad VAs.

dunno, i don't have the issue back yet, and i gave it the 8. we don't read each other's reviews (to keep from influencing one another) unless we want to play off each other.

Yup, it went the way of Rebel Strike as I feared. I'll still get it though ...

Resident Evil 4 got docked because of no strafing? My god. Still excellent score. But we all know the game is near perfect, should have been platinum.

I don't see why everyone is up in arms over the reviews. I figured EGM wouldn't like some games as much ar other people. Also I, no longer go by Magazine reviews as much as i used to. I go by my own taste and Judgement. I know i will be getting the Sega Classic Collection, even if all of the games are not perferct.
