About their whole crazy gimmick, i've always thought... You can't really have them be like that directly on wwe tv right.. I mean in TNA they had a pretty long evolution and storyline, which led to that.
But i mean it doesn't make sense to suddenly have Broken Matt talking to a drone in the middle of RAW, out of nowhere.
Anyway my weekly concern about Owens. I'm starting to think they are burying that feud, and the match won't be allowed to be memorable. Why ?
_Just look at RAW. The angle is really buried. It's nowhere near one of the main attraction in the show.
_But most importantly, look at the card. You know hey want to keep things not too overly tensed and dramatic for Mania. It's a family party you know. And you know they don't want some match to steal the show from some others.
Now let's look at it. I see many matches that will HAVE to be pretty manly and epic, probably slightly hardcore. The Shane/Aj will be cause that's the only match Shane can work. The Taker/Reigns will be for obvious reasons. The Trip/Rollins match will be pretty rough, without any doubt. And, well, you know, Lesnar/Goldberg won't be an indie technical fest if it's even a match.
So, let's imagine you're booking that. You have Jericho being one of the most over, beloved star on the show, with funny catch phrases and all. The card has 3 or 4 "violent" matches already. I mean, let's think about that in concrete terms: How many time can you break the announcer table in a Wrestlemania ? And what match would you give that spot in the card ? You really think they gonna book that match as a rough hardcore vengeance brawl ? Nope. This very well could be one of the "light" matches with a feelgood ending.. It will be a 15 minute match at most, traditional wrestling with funny ending with the list.
Would explain why the whole promo isn't exactly screaming bloody epic story neither.
