The old one wasn't exactly Mario-inspired. I like the new one better, it's more... "Mario" than the old one.

I was under the impresion that it was kinda meh, while Mario Strikers was the good game. Then EGM went and put this one at the top of their list.

I found Strikers to be 10X more fun, but that might be because I hate baseball. Mario Baseball is slow, but you do get to see a bunch of cool Nintendo characters that haven't been in any other Mario sports game.

The old logo reminds me of the logos in Baseketball I didn't read anything negative about this being bad at E3. Is it a bit disappointing then?

All of the positive hype seemed to be swirling around the Mario Soccer game, though I didn't really hear anything bad about this one.

No problems here either. I think it's the inherent slowness of baseball that I hate. I mean, the game pauses every 10 seconds so that you can select a pitch or have to wait for a pitch. I just absolutely hate that lull in the action.

Something like Mario Strikers, on the other hand, is non-stop, frenetic fun.

Please don't suck. It's the only baseball game I will likely ever purchase outside of Baseball Star and RBI Baseball on the classic NES. The E3 footage looked super silly and fun!

This will be bought for cheap. I'm still waiting for Tennis and Double Dash to come down. Was able to nab Toadstool Tour for $10. Where the fuck is Mario Tennis GBA? The GBC version was fucking awesome. I don't want to have to buy that one again; I'd rather have a new one, even if it is just a fresh coat of paint.

Thanks for that Kulock. You made my summer. I missed that thread since my A/C died during that week (and I soon discovered that without A/C it gets well over 100 degrees inside when it's 80-something outside), causing my PC to lock up and reboot frequently.

Thank the lord for the new A/C!

And thank the lord for Nintendo coming to their senses--Pennant Chase just wasn't shaping up well at all. They're going to need to replace the entire commentary and do a lot of work on the physics before it's even close to what Sony, 2K Games, and EA Sports did this year. By then, baseball season would be over.

Now, someone with clout, please contact Nintendo and have them put a big-headed Ichiro into Mario Superstar Baseball.
