Anyone playing? I'm working on the flower challenge. It's a bit limited but still having a blast trying to get my characters to superstar status. The only thing that I'm still having difficulties is giving instructions to single runners on base on when to steal, go to next base, etc. The only complain I have is I wish there were more stadiums to unlock.

Multiplayer is a blast and the simple setup helps to keep things hectic and exciting. It's a solid game and a good ground work for the following sequels bound to show up later. And I finally hit my first homer with Petey Piranha of all people.

I'm still playing. Love the game. Running is not as easy as they could have made it and I think it's a mistake to have the runners go by default. There should be an option about that. But I'm fairly used to stealing, etc. now.

Petey Piranha is my home run king, I have the most with him.

I'm pretty sure RBI Baseball always forced runners to move bases by default as well. I definately remember manually sending each of them back to base during pop-fly hits. Incited much yelling and laughing at the TV screen when playing a friend. Of course it is shocking that sort of thing persists here today.

So how many stadiums are there anyway? I think one review mentioned around five?? :Boggle: if true.

Yea...there aren't many stadiums. This game follows the Nintendo design pattern of light content. But the ones that are there are really good. I thought they would be messy, gimmicky annoyances on some levels but the obstacles and themes are really well done.

The old games did do that with the running and honestly...once you get used to it using the two runner buttons isn't too bad. It's an archaic design choice, but the double plays are fun.

Still loving the game. It's funny, I bought Madden 06 the day before I bought Mario Baseball, and I haven't played Madden since.

It's true, the base running is the one major flaw in the game. Even on a pop fly in foul territory, the runners go all the way to the next base. It's maddening.

I was torn between this and the hulk. I got the hulk and the PS2 version with copious loading. I am wishing I bought this, but hulk has its moments.

you need to tap the retreat button. If you don't, they just freeze. And tap B to make them go faster. Yea, it's a little annoying.

I'm enjoying it more than Madden as well. The Hulk is great fun too though.
