Nintendo can create world peace and people would still be bitching about it.huzkee said:I don't see what's so exciting about this new Mariokart... I don't see it being better than DD in any way except for those that didn't like the 2 character aspect of DD. It looks like a downgrade in gameplay in my view. If nintendo had released a similar product as the Mariokart for Gamecube people would have bitched it was more of the same. But now people are asking for it to be ported to the Cube?

Being on Triforce hardware, a GameCube port should be super easy. Sure, they could put it on Revolution, but they'd have to go through and improve everything graphically and aurally many times over. And considering the game should be coming out less than a year from the Revolution launch, if they were going to go to that trouble they might as well use it as a "launch title" for a Revolution-based arcade hardware rather than using it as a late Triforce title which would soon look outdated compared to its home counterpart.Amir0x said:why do people keep sayin' this
what indication do you have that this is even being considered for GC release? Why not Revolution?
I'm just wonderin' because I've seen nothing like that.
I don't know. My girlfriend loved the co-op mode in Double Dash. She wouldn't have ever touched regular Mario Kart. So I'm glad Nintendo made the game diverse enough to attract all gamers.ourumov said:I doubt it's more of the same. Mainly because the level design of Double Dash is one of the stupiddiest I have ever seen in a racing game.
Not that I care about the 2P factor...which was dumb in my opinion and added nothing but confusion. All I want is a CLASSIC mario kart.

Amir0x said:you must be confused as to what an indication means. If we went by "how easy it would be to port something", then we should probably add another 80 games that should go to different systems that never come out. If we went by "how successful a game was", we should probably add another 80 sequels or franchise extensions that haven't released yet.
These are not indications.

JoshuaJSlone said:My point was more why, given it comes home, it doesn't make sense that it'd be an early Revolution title. Of course, things that don't make sense happen all the time. Still, as far as indication...
Thus far being a Nintendo-released arcade game not released before Donkey Kong has been a sign of a home release. The fact that Nintendo likes to make money suggests it is advisable
