Anyone miss this game? It was PC only for years (2013-2017) and then came to Xbox as Marvel Heroes Omega in 2016 I believe then Disney shut it down.

It was an isometric MMO ARPG similar to something like Diablo or Neverwinter. LOTS of heroes, costumes, powers, missions, currencies.

Actually in this GAAS climate, this game probably would have done well now. I miss that a lot.

You're thinking of Ultimate Alliance. But I guess Heroes was sort off a spiritual successor.

Yes I miss it, I played it so much and would've probably never stopped playing it; it was a perfect little diablo-like jam packed with the marvel IP.

It was shut down because of the asshole gazillion CEO fucking everything over.

Yeah. It had an amazing number of heroes, villains and lots of missions. Each hero had tons of moves. It was a very addictive game and even with all of the GAAS currencies, I still wanted to unlock characters and stuff.

Every year or so I check in on private server progress for this game. It's chugging along, but not enough for me to to try it out and not face getting sad the real game is gone.

Every now and then when I click "show all" games on my Steam list and see Marvel Heroes on there, I wish it would be picked up again. It's such a shame that game got shelved.

I miss Marvel Heroes, not Omega, I knew it was going downhill when they ruined the Omega system and put a heavy restriction on dash cooldowns.

Remasters along with a bunch of old licensed Activision stuff was rumored a year or so ago. Sad that it didn't go anywhere(yet). But X-Men are about to blow up with Doomsday and the MCU, so I'm sure we'll see it sooner rather than later.

I don't have a PC to use to see how well it works but it sounds promising.
