They should've hired Capcom to do it in 2D, a la their Marvel fighters. They already have some sprite sets even (Iron Man, Spider-man, Wolverine, Psylocke would make a good swap for Elektra, etc), plus the DS screen setup would work perfectly for super-jumping. It would've worked way better than what sounds like a watered down console port.
