On the subject of MM, I'm he'll eventually make it. The idea of battle network would be great, concept he has a ridiculous arsenal/moveset pool they could use. Merely speculation though.

Every Mega Man has a ridiculous arsenal to choose from!

Wow, finally got to see it in 60 fps.......... WOW. WOW: WOW.

This is seriously one of the few games this gen that makes me go wow every time I see it in motion. God I wish people realized just how good cel shading + good art direction can be instead of equating it all to just "being cartoony".

Well, the Capcom store didnt ship mine yesterday with everyone else's, looks like they "took me for a ride".

I even get off early Tuesday from work. : ( Looks like I'll be hunting! One and done with Capcom.com.

Haha, actually what I don't like about MVC3 is that it's not cartoony enough.

In my ideal world, everything would have a splash of toon/comic styling to itself, so I can dig this.

dude! If you get your hands on it like a week before release ( Just list SSF4 ), hook a brother up!

Yeah, I thought the videos looked pretty bad, but when I saw the game with my own eyes at NYCC the actual models were amazing. I really dislike the animation still (this has more to do with budget + time concerns and the nature of 3d, more than Capcom being incapable) mostly due to it's jerky, awkward and non-exaggerated nature (like, nothing will live up to DS quality stuff in 3D without a ridiculous budget, 2D is sooooo much better for this).

Can't wait to get my hands on the game, any day now :(

Watching it in 60fps was a revelation to me, it literally made me think "wtf was I watching before?!"

I can't believe Sp00ky was streaming and I missed it :(

_d you didn't miss much to be honest. Sp00ky provided good early commentary on the characters he's played. Felt good watching that definitely knew what they were doing. I only remember him saying that he felt Storm is really on top thus far.

Really, X-Factor has been praised for it's dynamic uses and addition to gameplay. Storm's stupid damage is stupid.

Detractors from the game are in the minority. MvC3 is getting like universal praise and hype pre-release.

I'm still calling greatest fighting game ever made.

I love the enthusiasm,but I don't know about that one. :)

I would rather go for: best new gen fighting game, where there's a solid comeback factor for once.Everyone has crazy damage output, combos, game is fast for 2.5d,can cater to execution heavy players, rushdown or turtling bastards, can reward creativity.

Blows my mind watching streams and already seeing people putting together combos left and right seemingly effortlessly. I feel outclassed already. =(

Rough indeed! It's recommended to see 60fps MvC3 the first time WITHOUT tons and tons of artifacts :lol
Indeed lol, still you won't find anything on the innernet better than Gamersyde's 720/60fps videos.

A, B, C, Launch, upforward, A, B, C xx Super
now you're doing it too!

Yep, it is way easy to do combos in this game

this is what I usually do
A, B, C, Launch
upforward, A, B, C, Switch
A, B, C, Switch
A, B, C, Super

in SSFIV I can barely pull out a simple combo

I'm in your camp, the game looks great and seems great, I just prefer tactics over infinite combos like Tatsunoko. So still on the fence...
This is the stupidest thing I've seen in this thread. I'm surprised that everyone else just ignored it.

Judging from some of your other posts I'd be surprised if you've ever played Marvel at all.

does the game have somekind of "combobreaker" mechanic? Or are you at the mercy of your opponent if he/she starts racking up that combo?

yea that's a pretty dumb statement

anyway - anyone in NYC know of shops that broke street date? would love to cop this for the weekend

Okay yeah, this makes me feel a little better.

Truth be told I am still loving SSF4 (despite being absolutely terrible at it), but I know this is going to be the replacement once my fighting game buddies get their hands on a disc. Hopefully I can put up a fight this time, unlike MvC2, which I was just sad beyond belief at.

Nope, no mega crash like TvC. Learn to block. It'll make your life easier.

If your opponent does a character exchange combo in the air, you could try to guess your way out of it though.

yes in an air combo, if you press the S when the opponent tries to switch characters mid combo you break out of the combo

No. You take it like man.

Edit: unless exchange is involved. We have seen full life non-exchange combos already. IF you get caught in one of those you are going to have to dealwithit.gif

I also suck at MvC2, but I found this game much simpler, mainly because there are 3 attack buttons only, and the launcher button really makes air combos much easier.

You're a punching bag until the opponent drops his combo. There are methods of infinite prevention in place though. You can't get more than one ground bounce or wall bounce in a combo, and there's some kind of hitstun scaling that causes the defender to just drop out of a combo if you repeat the same moves too much or something. Nobody really knows how that works yet though. (Check this for an example. The combo keeps dropping after 24 hits.)

100% combos will still probably be common regardless if the attacker has enough meter or X-Factor, though.

cheers man, there more you know ^_^!

I thought you could X Factor during the combo to interrupt it? Only works once, ofc.

well, because of all the chaos going on the screen people just think its a bunch of button mashing, which is flat wrong. TvC i guess was less chaotic, but yeah, you're right, the guy probably doesn't play marvel.

That's GREAT news :D
