I'll buy a 360 copy on Monday if it looks like I'll miss the release date for the PS3. I'll never buy from the Capcom store again if it comes down to that...

sentinel in general has a hard time getting at characters who can stick in the upper corners of the screen. phoenix fireballs just ace him anytime he tries to get near her, and she can simply teleport around to start combos on him. i mean its not easy but it works pretty well if you know what you're doing, but its also dependent on how you build your team to gain 5 bars for dark phoenix.

I do too, but I don't like characters that are too beast or boring to watch kind of beast. So, Storm and Sentinel.

I'll hold out for some more advanced play post-release.. but DSS is going to be boring as fuck.

Still need to figure out who to team her with. I got this idea that her and Viewtiful Joe might sync up pretty well. Felicia has a low assist and a great ground game, Joe has a fast overhead and a solid anti-air assist. I think this rests on whether I can DHC Joe's Viewtiful Godhand to Felicia's Kitty's Helper. Offhand, I'm thinking a wild shot and take Thor for third. But I need to get the game myself before figuring out who Felicia's support will be.

Yeah, Capcom's way of making cuter characters a bit over-weak isn't to my liking. But most of what I dislike with their way of doing things isn't here in MvC3... thank goodness. They really seem as if they wanna give everyone a chance!

Personally, I love the idea of balancing a team of weaker HP people with someone who has some meat to them. I'd imagine Thor's Mighty Smash or Lightning Beam might be nice to help Felicia get in. The Joe/Felicia Unblockable setup sounds rather reasonable + effective, to me. Setups all around!

If you learn some of those Thor setups, he should also be a very nice asset to your team, I'd imagine. Watching a V.Godhand'd enemey running from Thor's throws would be kinda funny... well, for you. It'd he frightening for the opponent, lol.

I'm enjoying using Tron as my powerhouse... as odd as it is to have her drill motion changed around, I found early play with her just to FEEL right. Hsien-Ko and Spencer also seemed to fit in pretty well... I liked having Spence for full-screen punishing, which Felicia doesn't do so well, and him being able to grapple people into her range was a nice bonus. Sempu Bu Assist with Hsien-Ko might be the best thing ever, and I want it on every team, especially with Dark Force Mode on...

Soooo many possibilities...
 
Thread has been moving too fast. I'd like to add myself to the PS3 Version channel., and get in on the Gaf group there. But I've lost the page with the info on who I'm supposed to sent shit too.

Got to play it for over an hour today against a friend not too into fighters. He mainly mashed but was picking things up and we had a TON of fun with it. He actually beat me a few times (I was trying out a lot of shit though). These are just my scrub-ass impressions at first but Dormammu, X23, MODOK, and Dante seemed really good while I couldn't do shit with Haggar, She-Hulk or Spider-Man. Did well with Phoenix, Spencer and Doom too. Super Skrull's tenderizer is going to be annoying at first, you have to be in control to not keep accidentally pulling it off. The main thing is it's gorgeous, a ton of fun and seems really easy for anyone to pick up and have fun with.

That's a weird combo. 2 grapplers and skrull, no mobile/zoning characters? I don't know that skrull's assist would help them grab peeps either.
 
I think a good assist for skrull would be something like doom rocks, something that puts them in a block state and lets you set up his command grab. sent's drones, ammy's ice storm also seem like a good fit.

I guess he'd also have a decent time getting to the top portion of the screen, and desperately grappling around, hoping to land the hit that leads to his damaging combos...

seems like his grapple interrupts sentiels moves a lot it seems. like i said, somewhat untested, but I was having a hard time getting moves out versus spencer. really annoying.

Watching the intro movie right now. Blockbuster in my area had both ps3/360 in addition to Test Drive Unlimited 2....I guess they just don't give a fuck.

Blockbusters are hard to come by. I used to know of a lot here in my area, but now I only know of two and both are not walking distance away from my home. One's a 20 min drive (not that bad at all) and the other's an hour away. =(

I'd think all the S little bots and crap on screen would negate a large amount of the "projectile like" arm of Spencer's, but I assume if he has something to crush those very fireballs (like Arthur's daggers) that it shuts him down some, eh? Quite interesting!

I'm suprised these somewhat high-risk, or limited ability characters can even approach Sent. I'd figure he'd outclass them with his strong options + damage fairly easily.
