Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds |OT| - Ya down with OTG? Yeah, you know me!

Some dude is bringing Dante, Sentinel to the table and has the lame attitude to ragequit when my zero destroys his sent... damn some people don't like loosing lol.

-I noticed large lobbies are useless... why would people even create a room of size 8 when you can'T spectate...
-Also it's really getting to me the sloooodown of the intro characters. Wish there was an option to skip this or plain remove it!
-Also I hate that lobby music... what is it a throwback to the lame ass music from MVC2
?

All in all having some fun, but Capcom should of ran the net options back to QA a couple of times more!

Btw is the slowdown happening on 360 too? Wonder why they would even put a 3d char intro when the frame drop is so noticeable!

Things are running much more smoothly for me online now. Not outstanding or anything but actually playable.

31W 3L, 16 game win streak. Nobody knows how to deal with the greatest assist ever.

Haven't run into many Sentinels, strangely.

Same here only one in maybe 10 games... a lot of people not even using x factor.

Hmm is there no mute feature in the lobbies?
What about a kick feature?

... grr that lobby music i'm hearing is making me wish I was deaf. Is there a custom track option in this game?

I really wish this game had replay saves because earlier I had the most amazing comeback with XF3 haggar. took out 2.5 characters with him.

change to dynamic music, it's a lot less annoying.

.

I noticed that tonight too. Maybe it was luck but all my games were pretty smooth for the most part compared to previous nights.

Not sure about mute, but there's no kick. Brilliant design choices everywhere.

Hsien-Ko is everything I wanted and more. So much fun.

Hell, sometimes I just troll people with jumping H over and over from just out of their poking range to great effect.

Just got done playing a session as well, Played alot of folks from Japan today and none of those matches were laggy at all surprisingly, where as SF4 its unplayable most of the time.

This is odd but online seems to work, i finally found a match.
4 bars but it was laggy.

I lost the match, got chipped to death with Iron Man's Cannon.

Voice chat volume settings are in the options menu under sound. I haven't bothered with lobbies as of yet.

Yes but its a general setting, helps a bit but if your chatting with a friend and just want to silence someone your pretty much stuck unless i m missing something...

damn that's nice said:
How do you guys usually decide the order of your team? Right now I wanna do Chris/Doom/Arthur in that order because of Arthur's level 3 X-factor, but I don't know if I should have Chris or Doom on point. Or how much of a difference that really makes.
1. Zero, to activate his shadowy hyper
2. Trish, to switch as point gal once Zero's hyper is active
3. Morrigan to spam the dark harmonizer.

Although I find Morrigan works better with Zero's assist especially if you dash + air S.

Woo hoo...got a two game win streak...ranked record now sits at 17 - 32.

I am just terrible at this game.
lol, i plan on just playing my friends and living in a cave where i am some kind of unstoppable force

Still haven't nailed down a team. At this point, Deadpool is the only one 100% staying and I want him as closer now I think. I'm 99% sure I want Wolvie opening the game at point. Ive spend decent time with Dante and Dormammu, but just dont think I want them there in that mid slot. Toyed with Taskmaster and Super Skrull, but not sure about him either.

Moving this week, so I may not have an chance to boot it up until maybe next week, but Im thinking either Hsein-Ko, Ryu, or Magneto to fill in, still need to toy around though.

I'm sort of with you on that. I haven't played much ranked yet, I'm 2-2 there. I know I'll never be a god at this game, I only wish I had some friends that owned the damn game that way when the community gets more advanced I'll have someone to play with and not get bounced around like a ping pong ball.

Truth be told I am pretty decent to good...but I can't stand playing people who play only to win.

Played a guy last night who used Magneto and Sentinel (no clue who the third guy was)...retreated to the corner spamming magnetos laser and sentinels assist. There was nothing I could do. I messaged him to ask if that was fun...he messaged me back that I was trying to spam him to death...I had Felica, Hsein Ko and Storm. lol

One day, my left hand will act right and I will be able to Super Jump with some level of consistency. And all will be right with the world.

My record is now 98W - 67L. If SSF4 is any indication, it will hover in that area forever.

Hit Select/Back in the lobby, which pops up the Invite menu along with two other options. One of those mentions something about volume or sound levels, and you can adjust microphone volume in that menu. Set it to zero.

Hsien-ko's gong reflects Sentinel's Drones; the first two will collide, and the third will be sent back. Alternate gongs with her ground dash and you will slowly but surely get in. If you want to turn the tables, you could use Storm's Whirlwind assist immediately after the reflection, which creates a momentum in your favor. It's even more fun to use a meter assist like Amaterasu though; gong those projectiles all day and build meter until your spam-happy opponent actually has to rush you due to insecurity!

It is for me. Nothing better than catching them with a Taskys medium arrow, then sents assist, then another medium arrow into hyper combo. If they get in close I'll use sents assist, swing behind and try to catch him with a bnb combo ending in a hyper combo. I like zoning and runaway.

I'm using Task / _____ / Sent as well, who do you use as your third character? I keep on flip flopping between Trish and X-23. I enjoy using Trish for the easy DHCs with Task and keepaway and X-23 for the low assist + spidey swing mixup plus I feel like her rushdown adds a good balance.

Over a week in and I still can't decide on a squad.

Trying to nail down a team as well. So far Storm is my only member. Originally I was going to do Storm, Trish and Thor but I can't seem to get things right with Trish and OMG Thor is slow, mostly picked him because I wanted someone with a lightning theme.

Now I'm thinking Storm, Task Master and Phoenix. I know Phoenix is basically a glass cannon but I figure no guts no glory right??

I'm mostly a noob at these types of games and I can get fairly far on the mission mode for these characters but is there anybody in particular I should give a try... besides Deadpool...

I'm the exact same way. With SF4 I was Vega the entire time, even though he was wayyyy down on the list as far as damage and priority went. He got huge buffs in SSF4, and I stuck with him. From what I can tell, he's going to get some nerfs in AE, and I'll use him there too if I do the AE thing.

I hate it when people play whatever is brokenly effective just to win. I can understand the instinct, but it's so much classier when people fight it. I still haven't played Marvel vs Capcom 3 due to a dead PS3 :(, and I can't say that the things I've read have made me feel good about what I'm about to jump into online... my PS3 is back this afternoon, so I guess I'll find out today.

wow, I thought I was scrubby. But playing online....damn....almost everyone I played were baaaaaad. Just playing really bad keep away...and just mashing hyper hoping that I pressed a button or something. Not fun to play.

Deadpool is great against magneto abusers but i'm still trying to work out a strategy for taking down sentinel consistantly.

Yeah. I like Trish as well. Her trap assist work nicely. If they fall for it it's an easy combo ending in a hyper combo, she's good on her own as well and also has decent synergy with Sents assist. I also tried Tron who isn't bad either. I used to use X-23 but changed her for Trish/Tron. Ammy is pretty good too...I just need to work on her weapon changes and what not.

Hey guys, long time lurker of this thread, and I just wanted to stop by and say I love this game! I'm about 117-54 online and i've beat a couple people in the top 100 on xbox, so i'm proud of that haha.

Also, if anyone is looking for a fightpad, I went to my local bestbuy and they had the Tekken 6 collectors edition, which comes with Tekken 6 and a Tekken 6 themed fightpad, for $30. Maybe someone else might have the same luck.

Sent might be the most boring person to play as and to play against, I absolutely cannot stand it. I'm more or less expecting a patch to give me a higher recovery time. Spamming his lightning and missles just doesn't make for fun or excited gameplay at all. It's all really stale and boring.

Besides, this is my first real fighting game I'd like to get good at, so I suck at stuff anyway...but fighting Sents just isn't fun and is very headachey.

If the lightning theme is important to you, Amaterasu is a worthy addition to any team.

It's still the first week; a lot of people are afraid to leave their comfort zones.

Superjump bullet spam can be pretty effective, but don't forget you have that teleport too! All of Sentinel's moves have huge recovery on them. Train yourself to teleport on reaction to his beams and bring out the pain!

I have used Sentinel for over 300 matches, and I think he can be fun, but not nearly as fun as MvC2 Sentinel. I almost rarely use his beams though - I prefer to take to the skies and apply pressure. Sentinel can actually combo off of his drones at full screen if you wavedash fast enough - use them to get in, don't just sit back and spam; the game's more fun that way, and it's a far more effective tactic against experienced players.
