I wish there was an option to randomize the sound type playing during matches. Specifically between stage music and character music.

The Asgard and S.H.I.E.L.D themes in particular are pretty sick.

I was playing a guy online today in player matches. He beats me 5 times in a row but I am having fun so I keep playing. 6th match I win and as I deliver the final blow he disconnects. Like what is the point, he beat me 5 times and the once I beat him he turns off his console?

I should note we had no connection issues prior to this.

That also happened to me yesterday. Did he happen to have Spider-Man on his team? The guy beat me twice then I almost win on the third ( in player match no less) and he disconnects. It's ridiculous.

I've only encountered a few myself and I'm also pretty surprised. The few times I've come across Deadpool he was paired with Dante.

Deadpools are pretty common, on the contrary Hsien Kos are fucking nowhere to be found.
The only one I need to get the achievement for fighting every characters.

I've actually been doing relatively well against Sent with my team of Tron/Mags/Trish. Tron's j.h can cover a lot of space, so it's easier to tag Sent if he throws drones at the wrong time. DHCing into gravity squeeze to punish HSF is also pretty awesome...though maybe a waste of meter unless you're going to kill him or something.

Also, I do not believe you mentioned that Dormammu's s., c., and j. M, H, and S all snuff fireballs and beams when timed properly, which is an important part of his game against ranged characters.

Now that I'm on controller again and am doing a lot better, I shall try this Dorm with pressure stuff (although no doom). Going to mess around with nulling projectiles with attacks. I wondered what his s. L snap finger type thing was all about.

You've seen a Viewtiful Joe?! :o

My Spencer/Dorm/Haggar team is working out pretty well, but Spencer has crap for assists. I'm winning more by individual characters, not working as a team.

Heh, Tron's j.H can cancel into the light capture gun (qcf-L). Smack 'em in the head, then catch them. I tried that out since my last post. Then do whatever you want since they're up close and can't block.

I am a complete noob at this series and fighting games in general. I mean-I struggle with pulling off air combos. :(

I did get a Fighting Stick for SSIV-but it seems like I have an easier time pulling off the specials and combos with the DualShock...is this all in my head, or do other people have the same preference?

El oh el. I got a guy here in ranked random who just spent the entire match screaming at the top of his lungs that I was "a fucking bitch" because I was throwing a lot of projectiles... as Arthur. I still suck, so he had me up until the last 20 seconds on the clock, when I got arthur powered up and had a good run of mega keep away with projectiles that he just jumped into over and over and over again. He lost two characters from it.

I should note this guy was playing Akuma / Wolverine / Deadpool and was doing nothing but tatsus over and over until Akuma was dead, then tried to do nothing but Wolverape in the corner until Wolvie was dead!

Then at literally 0 on the clock, I threw Arthur's weird little command attack projectile that flies up then down again, and it boinked Deadpool on the head for a tik of damage, and I won by decision.

Guy exploded into 12-year-old-on-xbox rage.

Then, icing on the cake, 30 minutes later... HALF AN HOUR... I got a message from the guy that read "good game". So I replied with "gg lol".

People are weird when they play fighting games online.

So, he was initially pissed that you were spamming him to death, but after calming down, he realized that you were just playing the character how he was meant to be played and sent you a gg message. Sounds good to me.

You should've recorded it!

Probably did hurricane kicks to get around projectiles (it work for some), when that failed he probably felt he had no way around it and just gave up. Since it seemed close he probably figured since you were happy with what you were doing he'd just let you continue until time ran out rather than trying to get close to get hit by a stray bullet and lose for sure. The closeness of it and maybe getting hit had him screaming. Like people scream when watching football and there's a fumble.

Any tips for fighting Wesker? He seems to be the character I have the most trouble with.
All depends on your team, really...

...and how predictable the wesker you're fighting is

Yeah. Sadly I haven't run into any Arthur players at all online so can't gauge how well/poorly I'm playing Arthur. Right now, the main thing I am trying to figure out is: with Arthur on the team, should he start the match as the point character and armor up immediately? I'm working on a Ryu/Arthur/Haggar team (WHY NOT!). Ryu usually goes on point to explore the other guy a few seconds and see what he's going to do.

Next I'll try switching up with Arthur on point, to throw out some weapons for a bit, get extra meter past the starting free bar, then power Arthur up and swap him out for his gold fire bottle assist which is so nice.

If you were on PSN you could play Q. She hulk takes it up her big green muscular ass whenever she goes up against him.

Just use his teleport alot. I usually like to keep my distance, and do the forward H gun, and then H again to teleport close and start a combo going.

Or maybe Maximilian could help you out. He's got a beast wesker.

He means fighting against Wekser, not playing as him.

Good grief, played this on a controller for a few games since I didnt have my stick and I already have a blister on my thumb. I now remember why I bought a stick.

Really liking my team of Chun li, Wolverine and Dante though. Good things are happening

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Netcode is "The Speed of Light"

You guys are obviously doing it wrong.

Some one FIRE that son of a bitch. Does this idiot work at Netflix or something or has stock in it?

When BOTH XBox and PS3 online users agree that the netcode is shit, the Netcode is SHIT, SON. Dont use Japanese netcode (or fiber use) for European/US services. WHY do you think NGP is going half way with 3G in the west? Why sully the name of CAPGOD Niitsuma?

The simplest Sent strat against a crappy one is to just wave dash in their face and just block. They will definitely try a crouching M or S, just wait it out and punish. I know he has a command throw but your typical spammer has forgotten it exists. I went 3 for 3 with it online before. Nothing fancy, just get in their face and wait for a mistake.

I can't talk too much trash, my Sent is awful

Can we call this idiot Nii-San until we get a PATCH to fix the net code, for real son. I love the game but when 18 dudes with a studio no bigger than my house can get better netcode (not perfect but better) than some one with three mega studios - yall got some serious problems.

Ugh ranked has fucking deteriorated into clowns just abusing the clock.

I have lost SO MANY GAMES today because of time outs. They just sit there and block block block. WHAT THE FUCK.

It's scrub o'clock!

Infact...I don't even know if I'm allowed to ask this question. : /

Anyway, so I've hit a guy up into the air and then I hit him with a weak-sauce combo. I actually watched Gerstmann do it on the TNT last week. While the guy was up in the air, he did his combo, and then brought in his first alternate and did a quick combo and then brought in his second alternate and did a second air combo before his opponent dropped.

So...how do I do that? I've been trying and I'm missing...something.

Netcode's been great for me. Don't know what there is to complain about. And I live in Kentucky, so it's not like I'm gonna get randomly matched with people nearby all too often.

That and projectile spam. Jesus. I never thought I'd see a GAFer do that. You know who you are.

This is my game though. I love it so much. I enjoyed SSFIV quite a bit, but the input windows for combos where just too tight. This is so much better.

switch to simple mode, I think it does that automatically.

Do more chip damage or mix up better? People die in one or two combos in this game, if you can time them out... well ya :P

Flail your pipe around wildly and pray that he teleports into it. A decent x-factor 3 Wesker is such a bastard to put down.

Well...okay. Thanks but I was just wondering what the command input was but that's cool too.

Just hit S in any direction while in the air in a combo and it'll swap in your other fighter.

Thank you. Can't wait to give this a shot. :D
