Ugh ranked has fucking deteriorated into clowns just abusing the clock.

I have lost SO MANY GAMES today because of time outs. They just sit there and block block block. WHAT THE FUCK.
You should be able to create some unblockable situations depending on your team and if not, instant overheads work against the larger characters. You can even try crossing up or empty jumping towards your opponent and going for low attacks and if all else fails your final option is trying to chip them to death.

Can't wait to give this a shot. :D

Just hit S in any direction while in the air in a combo and it'll swap in your other fighter.

To be more specific the directions are either up, forward or down.

The caveat to doing this is if your opponent inputs the same direction+S, he'll do a mid-air combo breaker, costing you some health and the combo.

Or just throw them. Seems easier.

Can't wait to give this game a shot someday. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was basically the first fighting game I bought and really dug into, and I'm eager to try out more games in the genre.

Edit: Cool, I'll tune in the stream while I do some homework.

Legs vids are just too good, but that shit Desk did was broken. Also, lol @ "Lupe Fiasco vs. Ghostface Killah" comments on the Spooky stream, shit is so true.

Edit: Whoa, diverse ass teams here tonight. :o

My marvel guide aka "Fighters University Textbook" just arrived. This thing is beastly. I just discovered some nice setups with wolverine. I feel like I'm studying for a test when I read this thing.

First time I see a Spiderman remind me why I wanted to play Spiderman and then I see this comment:

"we need sentinel not these shitty chars"

:lol

Well...why would he do that? That would just be rude if he did that.

I did it. :D Thanks for the help.

Man, between the sp00ky stream and the Wednesday Night fights stream, I'll either go to bed late or fall asleep trying to watch... oh man

Anyone have any tips for dealing with dat Wolverine? Having far more problems with him than I ever did with Sent lol.

Running Spidey/IM/X-23.

Seeing myself getting better at this too. Fundamentals are becoming a bit stronger.

Also, I hit that X-Factor combo ClakeyD did with X-23 at that tournament last week. Felt slick.

in those 400 pages, does it explain what the character map refers to exactly? especially the "stability" ranking?

I haven't found any explanation in the guide yet(there may not be one) but over on gamefaqs halo12tpd wrote this.

"From what I've gathered so far.

Basic Offense = is normals and specials and possibly low number combos
Basic Defense = is just blocking
Advanced Offense = air combos/cross combos and Hyper combos that aren't initiated alone.
Advanced Defense = cross combo counters, advancing blocks, snap backs, and whatever its called when you switch partners mid block.
Stability = keeping characters alive longer

This is all just guess work, but judging by how I play, and the fact that my basic offense is dirt. . .its just what I've come up with. SRK or Eventhubs probably has details on this, but I haven't been checking either for MvC3."

Yep. Sentinel still looks broken. He may not be as dominating as MVC2 but he seems easier to play.

Noel getting really serious after that loss.

Do more chip damage or mix up better? People die in one or two combos in this game, if you can time them out... well ya :P

:lol Keep away in this game is actually pretty god damn hard once people learn how to play :P

Ya, considering that certain characters are *built around* actually being able to zone and keep away as if such things are super special. Because in this game, not counting Sentinel hijinks, keeping people out with "projectile spam" takes actual skill.

Also, online it is unfortunately a panic/lag tactic when just about anything else is impossible due to lag in the screen choppy sense, or in the unholy input latency sense. I can't feel too bad when I see someone jumping back and throwing lots of projectiles out when I can tell the lag is murdering us both.

Damn Spooky for killing my productivity!

That and projectile spam. Jesus. I never thought I'd see a GAFer do that. You know who you are.
I don't remember playing you.
