What version of Dante could you guys realistically see being included? I really want to see DMC4 Dante, but I'm wondering if they're going to go with DMC3 Dante again.

Seeing DMC3 Dante again. With the option to remove the trench coat like in SFV with removing specific items.
Then with a DMC1 outfit.

DMC4 Dante seems likely but I think the best idea would be to have them all as choices.

Hyperion's definitely on top of Marvel's list of "Supermen" right now. If Capcom or Marvel wanted one in, he'd probably have the best chance.

So in regards to villains, who do you think will make it in?
Magneto and Doom are gone from at least the base roster, and they were the two biggest Marvel villains in the entire series.
I could see Ultron and Loki show up, with Dormammu possibly returning due to the Dr. Strange movie. Other than that, I can't really think of any good villain picks.
Wesker, I think, is a shoe-in. He's from the best selling game in Capcom's most popular series and his moveset lent incredibly well to the vs. series.
If the main bad guy is actually an Ultron-Sigma hybrid, then I think Thanos will be saved for a sequel, even with the presence of the gems. Plus Thanos sucks so wgaf.

I think they will probably go with DMC3 Dante again. Itsuno and team are the ones who have to okay it, and after MvC3 I think they'll want the same Dante back.
Assuming it's DMC3 Dante, I would like him to have a few extra moves from DMC4, DmC and even DMC5. Design-wise I want them to use his DMC5 look.

This would make me happy. I loved the concept of the character. Mentally unstable guy who is Superman levels of bullshit powerful? Oh hell yes. As a love of the Irredeemable comics I've always been down with The Sentry as a concept. He's had a few half assers get ahold of him but when he is on he is full on gold.
Be great to see that guy vs Asura.

If asset reuse from MvC3 is going to be a thing, then I definitely can see a number of series getting more than 2.
Besides, I just don't see X (plus likely Sigma) getting in, and Zero not coming back after appearing in both TvC and MvC3. If nothing else, that would just make for a whole other type of teeth gnashing because Zero fans don't have their guy.

A- Marvel still have lots of villains ... kingpin, loki, purple man ... or if you are going just by "IN THE MvC UNIVERSE ALREADY" shuma gorath, dormmamu, venom, taskmaster, blackheart and thanos
B- Unlikely considering most third party games with switch versions were announced at the first moment since the new sonic game

I want Zero back, but:
- Make it the Zero series incarnation. MMX Zero is my favorite , but he's been in the last 2-3 Vs. games in that form. It'd be neat having him interact with a non-Cyber Elf X.
- I'd like to see Capcom take a crack at adapting that version for a fighting game (That isn't an Onimusha spinoff). SNK did a surprisingly decent job in SVC Chaos, even in spite of being hilariously OP.
- It'd be technically representing a separate MM series

I like the way you think. Not only because MMZ is second fave MM series, but I think it would be interesting if the Versus designers got to play with a Zero who could have Dante-levels of moveset variety with all the weapons he has at his disposal (instead of just the Z Saber and Buster for the umpteenth time).
Seriously, Triple Rod, Chain Rod, Recoil Rod, Z-Knuckle and Shield Boomerang are just begging to be used. And if people really don't like MMZ's design, just make MMX!Zero as an alt!
Trying to think of my most wanted characters and they're almost all veterans. I'm so glad that 3 introduced so many new Capcom series (Ace Attorney, Dead Rising, Devil May Cry, Ghosts n Goblins, Viewtiful Joe, Final Fight, Bionic Commando, Okami) and I really hope they all still have characters in the new game, it wouldn't be the same to see some of those series dropped entirely. A lot of the Marvel newcomers were fantastic too, I hope I don't have to worry about Iron Fist, Doctor Strange and Dormammu.
The only characters I really want are...
- Demitri. Easily the most important Darkstalkers character to have never been in an MvC game, he's been in every NxC/PXZ game without Midnight Bliss with no problem at all. Morrigan/Felicia/Demitri sounds fantastic, I could survive with Morrigan/Demitri too I guess. I'd be ecstatic to see him.
- A classic Mega Man character. I don't care if it's Proto Man, Bass, Roll, whatever, it's absolutely one of their most instantly recognizable series and I hate that it's been getting screwed in recent crossovers. I really like the idea of every Mega Man character representing a different subseries, I think my ideal lineup for this game would be something like X/Proto Man/Tron (fine, Zero too I guess).
- Nash, mostly because I really don't want Rashid or Necalli in this game. I think he makes the most sense too, since he was completely reimagined in V and was a key character in the early Vs. series. Ryu/Chun/Nash/Bison would be a great Street Fighter lineup (incidentally, the first 4 characters revealed for SFV).
The only characters I really want are...

).i'd take shadow as well. but nash would definitely be a good spot. Bison won't make it would surprise me. Akuma is definitely making it Ryu, Chun, Akuma spots would be a lock for SF Nash can represent new entry if not Rashid Juri or C Viper.
They do kinda need to have Zero return. X and Zero are a team. They both have wildly differing fighting styles, and combined they star in the largest number of Mega Man games. People talk about replacing Zero with his Mega Man Zero incarnation, but that is still pretty much the same Zero with most of the same moves (with a few different tricks).
I would be okay with swapping Zero for Vent/Aile using Mega Man Model ZX, since they have the same fighting style. But we need at least one red-colored robot who fights with an energy sword.

I'd be on board with MMZ Zero, the Zero series is still one of my favourites and even though I don't personally love Zero's redesign I do love the MMZ artstyle.
Also I'd like classic Roll too but X, Zero, and Sigma would be more than enough Megaman representation imo.
