The spike is a special state that only happens after a j.HK from an aerial hit. You are a bit elevated when you do it so a tag character can come in and combo without using up the OTG count.

This early access stuff is actual very smart.
Capcom quickly learned that showing off the game themselves only created memes and bullsh*t from haters...so they said screw it and just let the community's best/beloved Marvel players show off the game instead.
Makes perfect sense.
No use doing more interviews where people will cherry pick random words like "function"...no use uploading a bunch of youtube videos that trolls will downvote in droves.
Just let the game speak for itself within the community.

They got it from capcom and are only allowed to stream vs/training mode
Not retail, early access review copies from Capcom.
Get it from CD keys or GMG. Don't pay full price for this if you don't want to. If you think it ain't worth it then it ain't.
Also depending on where you live you might find it cheaper. Here in Mexico the Deluxe version on Steam costs ~60USD/

Also, lemme put it this way. The audience JWong and FChamp are streaming to were probably on their way to buy the game. Maybe 10 percent were on the fence. These streams aren't going to change much in the way the game is seen. Casual gamers are what Capcom needs to shill to, and influencers like Pewdiepie or whatever mega giant Twitch streamer/Youtuber are far more important than anyone in the FGC.

What general complaints should they be talking about? Cuz honestly outside of some visual presentations, the game looks really promising. And lets be real, fighting game devs need FGC pros more than mainstream gaming sites to sell their game.
Game already not being a "4 touch game" a week before launch lmao. Love it.
Using power storm, a lvl 3 and most importantly, Zero isn't counter switching which a real person would.
But yeah like I said earlier dig seems higher than what we had seen so far.
