I guarantee you there won't be any blowback from players who get early copies of DBFZ. That's why I can't take any of this seriously. Justin got the game early and you would too if you were in his position. Ain't nobody need to go on some crusade.

And why are people talking about
Meio
is there an indication that all three of these people will be playable but that Capcom is just keeping it asecret?

Just confused and wanting clarification :(

Death and Monster Hunter appear in story mode as non-playable characters.

Considering that known DLC characters Sigma and Black Panther appear in the .zip file leak, as well as Venom and Winter Soldier (who are not story mode NPCs), it's very likely that the final two DLC characters are present in the .zip leak as well. Through process of elimination, those characters are most likely Monster Hunter and Grandmaster Meio.

Alright, here's the deal:

We know that
Death and Hunter appear in the story from previews and interviews. Many, including me assume Hunter at least is going to be a DLC character featured in the story like Black Panther
We now know that
Venom and Winter Soldier aren't in the story at all, meaning that the zip leak is not just story stuff. Best guess is that the list includes all DLC characters so far, which would make Meioh the third Capcom DLC. The numbers fit.

He's Strider's big bad after all. He lacks character, but he looks cool.
 
I'd honestly really like to see Meio as a playable character. The roster could use some curveballs. His premium costume would probably be his classic look.

If Marvel's not gonna provide in terms of curveballs, might as well have Capcom pick up the slack.
 
Meio is firebrand tier of why

Of all the capcom pedigree a character that probably never had a vote in any sort of poll sneaks in. I'd rather stuff like Amnigo or Cosmi if they really wanna curve things
 
To me, the issue lies in the fact that he's (potentially) DLC. I doubt many would be knocking down doors to pay for a character like this. It's just adding to the backlash people already have with this game.
 
Nobody gave a shit about Abigail until they saw how much fun he was. The same could apply to the dlc where they rely on gameplay to sell. Would someone more recognizable get more sales? Maybe. But if Meio is sick in the story and looks fun to play, I think people will end up buying anyway.

It reminds me how everyone was shitting on Spencer being including in Marvel 3, then he became one of the most used characters in the game lol

A popular character will always outsell gameplay. If Spider-Man was DLC and so was Modok. It's pretty obvious which would sell more.
 
When only a handful of people are playing the game things will look drastically different when thousands are running tech. Anyway the original post was more in line with brand new characters rather than the status of returning. Maybe they'll nerf Meio in the next iteration lel
 
Most people just had an issue with Spencer returning in general. I don't really think his tier status would change anything.

I'm over it, but that's one of the guys people will endlessly complain about no matter what. In MVC3, people thought his inclusion was odd, but he ended up being cool. Now the POV towards his inclusion is like Woolie said, "why are you here...again?"

They did. But we're assuming that all of the DLC is in the Zip Leak. Which if that's the case Meio is the only capcom character to fill it to 3 on each side. Could have been a case of "Oh he's NPC in the story mode" but not as future DLC. Though IMO that's kind of scummy since they have shown him a lot in the story trailers an every character we have seen in those trailers we've been told if they were playable or not.

Yea I've seen Max's pre release vids versus one of the devs that plays Thor. Guess I'll wait until someone like irongod or Royal Flush get the game.
 
I'd be down for Grandmaster Meio simply on the grounds that he is the main villain of Strider.

That, and I see his design and I think "I'm interested to see how Capcom can turn this design into a neat fighting game character".

Those are both honestly amazing ideas. If the line-up isn't going to be "definitive Capcom all-star line-up" status I'd at least like for it to have some kind of identity with its choices.

Anyway I think Meio is almost inevitable and the idea has never been as off-putting to me as everyone else. People would probably be happier with his inclusion if he snuck into the base roster instead.

I'd be happier with all of the DLC characters if they were in the base roster. :D
 
Does anyone think it's possible that Capcom might throw us a DLC bone down the line? Or might have a "buy 1, get another" type of deal...at some point?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree with that suggestion?
