I think that one of the rules Marvel should have about their comics, is, uh, you should be able to properly draw their characters to work for them.

Don't get me wrong, I know there ae all kinds of styles out there and all that, I don't want all of Marvel's books to look the same, but some of these artists they've been using recently have just been shit. Take a look at the Marvel Mangaverse Vol 1 if you need further proof. Or this cover. That's supposed to be Namor and the Silver Surfer? Come on, Marvel, get your quality together.

This is not intended to be a straight version (no, that was not a gay-joke) of the Defenders. This is intended to be a disfunctional, comedic version of the ridiculous (yes!) superteam.

Giffen and DeMatteis = clever, funny, goofball fun. They'll fit the Defenders about as well as Dan Slott fits She-Hulk. This should be good.
