Normally I'd criticise someone for not playing a game because of the setting, but in this case I wish I was as turned off by it, because Jade Empire was rather shite. In theory the setting was great, in practice Bioware couldn't pull it off. That would have been fine if it was the only real problem, but uh, the plot sucked, the music sucked, the script sucked, it was too linear, didn't feel epic, and was pretty much a waste of time. That may sound harsh, but coming from such a good developer Jade Empire was quite a shock.
As for this game, well, the trailer's very nice (animation is fantastic), but, eh...I'll wait and see, for some reason I'm not too enthused. But it's Bioware, I'm sure it'll end up being great.
