Well this is bizzare.

Straight from the article:

"Landis made the announcement at San Diego Comic-Con during a panel for Dirk Gently's Holistic Pet Agency on Saturday. Landis reportedly pitched the movie to Warner Bros. some time ago and the studio immediately signed onto the project."

So my first reaction is uh... how do you make a Pepe movie that isnt really weird and gross in this day and age when lets be honest here his whole shtick was basically stalking and harassing female characters who he eyed up as potential romance interests.

Yeah he's mentioned it before somewhere, and he says his version of Pepe will be a kind of "feminist icon" and even the script itself can't help but fall in love with him.
