Well Genreally Their are several reason why developers release the consoles first.
I think their was a huge thread when Arkham City was delayed.
Genreally i guess R* wants to get most of the sales from consoles since many consoles users genreally are more used to buying games @ 60$ then PC users who after 2 month will get the game for cheap or on sales. R* games always sell great numbers on consoles as well.
Everyone here saying they'll buy x console version is the reason for the delays. They'd rather force people to get a console version than risk pirates for PC. That's the only reason they delay this PC stuff and apparently it's working since people here are willing to get an inferior version instead of waiting.
Diablo 3 can also be a reason but genreally R* always delays the PC version. TBH since its a pc franchise thats the reason why the game is 15 days late. Had it been GTA or RDR, 6 months would had been guaranteed pretty much.
Hope no pc users get offended but thats what i feel why pc version are generally delayed

Only a few shots of the PC have been released, from what I have seen. They doesn't look anything special either. And all of the trailers have been console footage. It's almost that they doesn't want it to be found.
Really bad when a PC series gets mostly ignored on the platform. But I guess a piracy excuse will arrive sooner or later.

F'n sweet, I have like three days off next week, totally ready for Max Payne 3 baby! It's been such a long time, I really hope they get the story right.
Still not a fan of the brazil setting but ok let's not beat that old horse to death, at least there are NYC segments in the game.

Not often a fan of Rockstar Games but this sounds too good to pass up. A linear experience so that Rage and Euphoria can be pumped up to max.

I've didn't like the shooting in GTAV or RDR but it looks like they gave it a lot of work for this game. I hope it feels as good as it looks.

Give me Max Payne 3's shooting mechanics in the next GTA and Rockstar will have a true gem for next gen.
Nah if I rent it'll be on ps3 but I'm thinking of waiting for a PC price drop because I'm sure the game doesn't look as good as those gifs do on ps3. It would definitely be the best looking rockstar game on the platform if it did.

While funny, reduce the space between the images at the start of the OT, it throws the whole thing off. Other than that, great OT.
but GTA V is not for next gen consoles.

Great OP! May 15th will be one of the greatest days in gaming for me and many others.
MP and the first half of SP are on disk one. Second half of SP is on disk 2.
The former; multiplayer and the first part of the story are on the first disc.

Does anyone have any idea as to what the control setup is like for the 360/PS3? Are we for certain there is no jump button?
The only hype train that let me down a bit was LA Noire, and Rockstar just published that title.

I'd probably be the same but thank god Diablo 3 comes out on the 15th to keep me busy.
both were a HUGE letdown for me. Thinking about it, the only R* game i really really enjoyed was RDR (one of my favorite games this gen). Don't know why but i couldn't get into the GTA series.
But how closed is the environment that its tested on? Lets wait and see what the consumer impressions are in real world testing.

Exactly, my backlog can sustain me until then. Games I play for Single player only just don't need to be bought day 1 anymore.

I believe you could go into the graphics options menu in the preview build, which featured a good number of options not indicative of a poor port. But I could be remembering another game.

I rented RDR, and I played the game just for the gameplay (skipping all the cut-scenes, etc.) - turns out that RDR is an endless "padding" of "samey" quests and just really boring.
But i guess it's not intended to be played like that, so i can't really call it a letdown without giving it a fair chance.

A primarily single player PC game? Come on, now, it's going to be pirated to hell and back. That's not to say there wouldn't be legitimate buyers as well, but it could definitely help.
I'm pretty disappointed in the delay myself, however, as I would much prefer getting my hands on the PC version next week.

I was burned slightly by GTA4 and quite a bit by both LA Noire and RDR =/ (sue me I didn't like RDR)
Still interested in this though XD
