some say the madden cover curse is broken, but how so? the ravens missed the playoffs. the stipulation of the curse is that your team WILL miss the playoffs at the very least, but some of the added effects are out for the year, poor performance, etc.

eagles will miss the playoffs this year. mcnabb may or may not be around for that disappointment

Why?

It was obvious, with the new additions, that a QB would make the cover, but it should have been Brady or Manning. McNabb had an okay year, but it doesn't make much sense for him to get the cover.

Man this game actually looks like that original Michael Vick ad (not the VR simulation one, the one where he threw the TD to TO).

That being said...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Wasn't Gameday 2003 enough for you Donovan? Oh and whatever to average year. I won't deny the Super Bowl collapse, but he had upped his completion %, stopped under/overthrowing recievers a great deal and had great TD to INT ratio.

I think the Madden curse was more about player injuries than anything else. Anyway, if it wasn't before, that thing has definitely been put to rest with the full season Albert Pujols had with the Cards in '04.

As far as bad covers go, that's definately one. Granted, it's no "TO with the fast break layup" from last year's ESPN cover, but it's pretty poor all around. That ridiculous empty stadium in the background along with the horrible logo add up to something special. Special in the "Rosie O'Donnell in that CBS movie" kind of way.
