Meal Time Videos

What do y'all watch when you need a video to watch while eating a meal or just want to watch something interesting to decompress or distract yourself?

Lately my go to has been the WSJ YouTube channel. They release 5-15min video essays almost every day that are super well made, easy to digest, informative, well-researched, and concise (!)

I've pretty much watched every single video they've put out. highly recommended

there's also subreddit r/mealtimevideos but the quality is all over the place so I stopped going there :messenger_expressionless:

live bouzoukia videos, food and travel shows, or something informational like nileblue or tested.

Last video I watched while eating, really nice.

The B1M channel is also an absolute treasure trove.

you can literally click on any of their videos and come out learning something useful and feeling more informed. On the surface it covers engineering and architecture, but it often ties it to current events and broader social issues. The editing and narration is top notch and the footage is absolutely stunning. Couldn't recommend it enough

I always try to pick a video before I start eating—like some kind of preparation ritual

But it almost never works out. I usually get bored a few minutes in and start scrolling again, lol.

There was a time when I'd always browse IGN and watch game reviews while eating. Simpler times.

Lately I've been watching more casual TV shows, like Seinfeld. They're short and I don't have to pay full attention to the screen the whole time to understand what's going on. I can't really watch anything serious or long while I'm eating, so something more casual works better for me.

One of my aunts threw a bread roll at me when I mentioned becoming a passport bro. :(

She may have considered that to be over sharing or maybe she really just wanted you to have another bread roll, I have no idea one way or the other.

Personally I consider that to be more of an after dinner topic.
