As long as Cheesemeister has become the first post head honcho, that should become a static part of it.CoolTrick said:I don't understand people.

Wow. PS3 is way behind in terms of software sales...of course, the PS2 was out in March of the previous year, having about eight months more on the market in Japan than the PS3 at this point in the calendar year. Still, just goes to show how weak the damand for PS3 software is compared to PS2 despite having a price fairly close to the original PS2 there and having better supply at retail during this same point in its lifetime. There's barely two 100k+ sellers for the PS3 in Japan so far. Sony also wasn't fighting two other next-gen systems...until a year and a half later when the GC entered the market and a few months later for the original XBOX. Sony needs to get their act together.JoshuaJSlone said:For comparison, here's what PS2's 10th week on the market looked like according to Famitsu. I could get a more complete picture by looking at the previous 9 weeks... but that would take looking at the previous 9 weeks.
#6, Tekken Tag Tournament, 12K, 358K total

#11, Ridge Racer V, 7K, 517K total
#12, Dead or Alive 2, 7K, 265K total
#13, Decisive battle (Kessen?), 7K, 285K total

#30, Gradius III & IV, 4K, 59K total
You should get a bigger screen, even on my 13" laptop (1280*800) I get the 5 picture neatly lined up on a single line.PantherLotus said:I don't particularly care who makes the first post as long as it remains updated. I think the Pacman stuff is funny but it could get old quickly. The thing I like the most is the top five getting boxart shots. Good idea there. I'd prefer it to be 3-2 rather than 4 and then 1 wrapping around to the next line, though.
Errr, did you miss this part of that post?MightyHedgehog said:Wow. PS3 is way behind in terms of software sales...of course, the PS2 was out in March of the previous year, having about eight months more on the market in Japan than the PS3 at this point in the calendar year.

VicAlpha said:I thought that the big RPG games in japan dropped of the chart between the 2 ~ 3 week?!??
Pellham said:Doesn't apply to DS RPGs

Final Fantasy III didn't.Pellham said:Not really. Can you name a single DS RPG that isn't DQ or Pokemon that stayed in the top 30 for more than a month?
You need a monitor with a higher resolution I guess.PantherLotus said:The thing I like the most is the top five getting boxart shots. Good idea there. I'd prefer it to be 3-2 rather than 4 and then 1 wrapping around to the next line, though.

MrSardonic said:M-C and Famitsu should provide weekly software sale totals to match their hardware sale totals - the ratio is an important factor in determining a console's success. The major problem for the PS3 and PSP is that they aren't shifting games at the moment. But I am surprised that so many people in Japan are buying a PSP for non-gaming activities.
