3DS actually holding up better than last year... I'm surprised.

Other than that, Software is dead... except Assassination Classroom and its new shiment + Minecraft.

As expected, the numbers tend to fall during this time of the year.
 
Mario Kart 8 is going to be the first console million seller in how long? Maybe the DLC will boost it's sales a bit.

You mean "continues". It dropped 20k from week 13 to 14, it dropped aroun 10k from week 14 to week 15. Probably, another 5k drop incoming next week, if the regression continues like his. Eergh.

Also PSV is dropping a lot.

3DS is, instead, increasing. It will have a good Golden Week with some interesting software.

Yes, bigger drop than expected (by me), but at least higher than last year.
It was clear that DS2 update edition wasn't big enough to sustain it this week.
Surprised by the recent 3DS hold YoY, but even the Wii U had similar hold in the last couple of week: could this be to some sort of shift in some seasonal "holiday" (as here in the West for the Easter), or MP10 is showing legs able to sustain its sales and even (we are talking about small numbers of course) the HW ones?

When MK will become million seller in Japan? It has to sell another 45k so I'd say that it could take awhile, but maybe the new DLC pack will be somehow promoted and help the game holding its weekly pace.
 
Damn, seems like a tough week for all platforms, especially the PS4. It looks like it may actually fall into the sub 15K range for quite some time. Even the XB1 saw a huge drop in sales XD

Sony platform dominated the first half of top 10 software but nothing much there, the highest being 20k.

Well, X1 going back to it's usual business. Furiously competing with PSVTV.
 
Oh god Xenoblade 3D bombing hard. Dark Souls 2 as well although is that the actual game or some datadisc/special edition? I thought it came out some time ago.
 
Bloodborne's drop looks to be in line with DS I and II's.

What can we expect in Japan? 250k at retail before the release of the inevitable Goty Edition?

I'd assume that digital sales are better for Bloodborne than for the Souls games, probably above 200k in Japan if we include that.

Edit: Also please get Persona 5 ready for the summer Atlus otherwise the PS4 is really going to stay sub 15k for at least until MGS 5 I guess...and I want to play that game this year and a summer release in Japan increases the chances of 2015 release in the west.
 
Well if you go to Yodobashi and such you surely wouldn't expect XB1 to be selling this bad (it still occupies some shelf space).
I hope it doesn't hit two digits

Well, I mean, it was in the post-launch slump, while this year it had a good 2 months full of releases, so of course it had to be higher compared to last year.

The fact that the difference is lower than 5,000 units in the second week after the boost period isn't reassuring, though
 
I'm expecting 4th week in May for the sub-100 XB1 sales, it's becoming a morbid fascination. They can't even be making a profit at this point after the costs of operating in an additional non-English market?
 
I'm actually quite pleased with how the Vita is doing so far this year. I'd expected it to fall off a cliff and spend most weeks just under 10k.

It's pretty good that everything rose YoY except Vita and PS3 considering the tax hike was around this point last year. At least things aren't that terrible for the dedicated gaming market

I suppose the tax hike effect has been worse than we expected, lowering sales across all board and not just the week the hike was introduced. This year, there's no tax hike, thus sales vary more "normally" than last year.
