I'm probably going to be lynched for saying this, but Inazuma 11 would be a more successful IP outside of Japan if it was on a Sony platform.

No, it wouldn't. Inazuma Eleven is an IP targeted at a younger audience -- outside of Japan neither the PS3 nor the PSP have a kid friendly audience. How would it sell better if the audience is simply not present on thos plattforms?

Sure, nearly everything's better in the end than "not released in the US and UK". But the lack of Inazume releases is neither the DS's nor Nintendo's fault.

It's not like Nintendo/Level 5 are trying to make Inazuma Eleven happen in the west. That was just a stealth release. And introducing a new IP at this point is not really the smartest idea.

If they are planning something, that's probably being saved for Go, which begins a new generation and storyline.

The new Puyo game is very, very good. Loads of unlockables like hidden costumes and voice packs and all the game modes from 15th Anniversary. For veterans the challenge modes make you do stuff like make a 10 chain in under 30 seconds and uses the most difficult AI in any Puyo game so far.

They've gone so far as to emulate the slower garbage fall rate in the classic modes (which no game previous did), and one of the endless modes lets you rewind your moves and points out where the trigger points for your chains are located. Definitely the best Puyo game SEGA's put out in terms of sheer content, polish, and fanservice. If Sonic Generations has similar amounts of care put into it, it'll be a great game.

Sounds good, I really wish Sega would bring this one over. They should do PSP/PS2/Wii/3DS ports too.

I'm sure they're going to announce ports for release during the holiday season in the coming months. Probably going to announce a Vita port too if the timing is right.

As for SEGA bringing it over... I have pretty low hopes, and XSEED was wary of picking up 15th Anniversary due to its niche appeal. I consider getting Tsuu on Virtual Console in America/Europe to be super lucky. At least there's the translation patch in a few months to look forward to!

I can't believe the result achieved by Mario Sports Mix, given its quite low debut. Is it one of the best-selling sport-related Mario in Japan?

I normally click through if the week has any releases I'm interested in. I like pictures of Japanese shops. Store displays, games being released, people lining up, bomba bins. It's all good to me

Plus I think it's something that's pretty unique. Your site does it... and pretty much no one else does that I know of!

Didn't we heard a 300k shipment or so? Shouldn't bomb as bad as MH3 then. But MH seems kinda low this year, not as strong legs on PSP, Diary G seems to be a bit in the dark, not much hype on P3HD either.

Time for 3G on PSP Capcom, milk it while its still warm.

I can't believe the result achieved by Mario Sports Mix, given its quite low debut. Is it one of the best-selling sport-related Mario in Japan?

And good result for the two first versions of Inazuma Eleven 3, which went to sell more than the third version during Q2. From January, they've sold at least 80k.

Mario Tennis on N64 sold around 1 million units in Japan if memory serves me well.

With 2011 MGS4 sales they should be slightly closer, but RE5 is still charting, whereas MGS4 isn't. It's not an entirely fair comparison though, RE5:GE has extra content compared to the original so could be thought of as a separate title. Unlike previous installments there is only one version of MGS4. MGS4 will need a cheaper reprint to make 1m, maybe RE5 will too.

All of RE5 Gold's content can be downloaded onto the original version of RE5, except for the Move controls. I'm sure many people are rebuying RE5 Gold for the extra content, but we saw RE4 sell for many years at a budget price, and I think this is a repeat of that.
