What is wrong with the controls in the PS2/GC versions?

The PS2 version is fine. The GC one has the jump and shoot buttons reversed.

*Edit* - And if they were smart, they would bring Mega Man X8 to the GameCube. Stupid bitches...

I wonder how much Microsoft paid for this?

The GC version is fine also. The controls mimic Megaman: Network Transmission, Gamecube exclusive (which is 10x better than any Playstation 2 X series exclusives). Also, the people who complain about the controls are the pussies who would get owned in the Megaman levels regardless of what button actually jumps or shoots. The GC version also has an interview with the creator of Megaman instead of ONE lame Megaman TV episode. Lastly, all the old Megaman games came out for NES, so it's more nostalgic to play on a Nintendo console again.

you calling me a pussy :mad. This game plays really badly with the button swap. Makes it hard to do charged + Jump shots. Anyhow... the only good games on the collection is Megaman 1+2.

I actually didn't mind the button layout on the GC version with Hori, worked fine for me.

can you say how it works on a hori paf? I was wondering just about this as I was typing my earlier post. The size discrepancies of the face buttons on the GC pad makes MMAC had to play. I'm keen to pick up a Hori pad if this helps. :)

The size of the face buttons is the same on the Hori pad as on the standard GC controller. But the Hori controller has a good D-Pad.

The size descrepencies of the buttons never bothered me, I actually like it. MMAC works the same with a Hori except that you have a good dpad. So I doubt your complaints about the different button sizes with MMAC would go away if you used a Hori.

tgg am cry

Horseshit!

If they add any new content to the game I'm gonna be pissed. "Early adopters" get screwed over again. Am I the only one that gets upset at things like this? Granted, it's good for Xbox-only owners, but I'm sick of feeling like I'm missing out on a "real" version of a game when this happens.

Heh, I just hate feeling like I'm being punished for buying the first version of a DVD or a game.

so how does the spin work on xbox...

with cube it's usually "cube shafted again!"

and with ps2 it's usually "ps2 gets the best version, good things come to those who wait!"
