lol the L train is my main train to anywhere, I see all kinds of acts on there

WTF, why are people so easily bothered??? geez let the city have some life. Tourist on the trains like the B-Boys, let the kids hustle. Some days I don't feel like listening and seeing them, some days I don't mind some days... whatever, let it be. Its kinda part of the NYC charm.

This city is getting the edge shaved off it little by little.

urgh

They can hustle on the platform or in the train stations--cops don't bother them.

It's annoying in a crowded train.

The couple wasn't at risk of harming anyone like the breakdancers were. The cases have no bearing on each other.

reckless endangerment != impeding the flow of traffic

Thats great, but you asked me if its a bit different since its a platform. As per the code of mta's conduct, there is no difference for their guideline from platform to conveyance.

Was just answering that.

It's different because 1) stationary vs mobile and 2) because other people can walk away from performers on a platform easier than those in a car.

The situation is different and the charges are different. Why would these men be able to sue with the same justification that the couple did? There's no relation here.

The L is my main train too, and I have no problem with people doing performances either.

HOWEVER- these tools were doing it on an L train at 6pm at Union Square. Can you imagine being packed into that train and some dip shit starts flailing his limbs around trying to dance? Not going to happen, get the fuck outta here with that shit.

Dancing should be banned from all trains between 6-9am and 5-8pm. Other than those hours, dance away.

pfft I wish. They always dress down to appear "needy". I've always felt they should go the other way and dress the part (as above) and put on a show. Not sure if it would be better but it's what I want.

it is better. the tango dancers on the street in Buenos Aires are classy as fuck!

I don't think they should be arrested, but I do grumble in my head if people so much as cough the wrong way on the morning or evening commute.

They should sue because;

"Vallone, who heads the City Council’s Public Safety Committee, says the city is too quick to settle these types of cases: “Their policy is to settle regardless of the guilt and just throw taxpayer money out there,” he said."

As someone who takes the L to work every day into manhattan. That train gets waaaaay to crowded for people to be trying to breakdance in it. They can keep that on the platform. Don't take it on the train.

Doesn't happen very often. I've personally never heard of it happening.

I haven't seen anyone get hit, but I've seen them come close. Which is more than enough for me to continue to hold my stance on them keeping that stuff on the platform and off the train. Especially the train in question in the OP, it gets extremely crowded in the morning and afternoon.
