Men's Fashion |OT| Style is eternal; But my wallet isn't

I see a Tom Bihn Synapse 25 Backpack 525 on sale for $160. Should I get it?

Maybe the internals are super well designed and it's really long-lasting and weatherproof but gosh, the pictures make that thing look really dull imo.

Not an accessories expert by any means but I have to figure you could get something a bit more interesting for that kind of money. With that said, if you like it, go for it.

Uh, is Black Rabbit dead? Their homepage has been showing a suspended page for a few days, and they haven't updated their Facebook page since last year.

This sucks, I was looking forward to get some more stuff from them.

Been a while, but fwiw, I got an ad from them on Instagram today mentioning the site (which is fully there again) is offering 60% off currently.

Fiance got this for me when she went to Japan. A gift for our 3rd anniversary, currently loving it.

She got it from Tsuchiya Kaban (土屋鞄製造所), they're known for making the Randoseru. This bag (Plota/Prota) is a handmade, water-proof, cow leather, soft zipper model. The bag is classy and sleek!

Edit: The lighting is a bit bright in the left pic. The actual color is much closer to the right pic.

So I've discovered Grailed......

How do you all not go poor? Are people that use it generally loaded? I've spent way more in this weekend than I planned this month.

peeps charging retail prices for used pieces and saying worn a few times, when really it's beat to fuck

Dunno if this is the right place to ask but I'm looking for a good fall/winter jacket, somewhere between light wear and a peacoat. Would do well ~50°F weather. Nothing too fashionable. Is there a website that would even go over a different variety of jackets

Sorry for not being very specific. I don't shop for clothing much.

You need to be more specific. Otherwise just browse East Dane, Mr Porter, Revolve, etc.

It says it's 100% wool, so it's not cheap felt.

The other is a cashmere and wool blend, also good. The pictures just don't show it properly.

First one from what I can tell looks a bit more blazer-like, second one has a more relaxed and modern cut and seems better for layering. Shoulders look nicer too.

I don't understand why both sites don't put pictures that allow you to clearly see everything and the details.

Honestly that's not the jacket I had in mind but I want to get that any way. North Face is great

Something like this:

Or maybe something simpler like:

Or something more 'peacoatish':

Under $200 CDN but wouldn't fall apart within a year

What are the odds this $200 suede jacket from topman is worth the money?

That's a nice jacket but Topman stuff tends to be overpriced for what they are. I'd wait for a sale for an agreeable bang-for-buck ratio.
Another one for the heap of questions!

Need some help in picking between these shoes, they're all in similar price ranges
Two are the best of the bunch for me, save for the gaudy branding on the tongue.

Don't buy the first ones, that sole is hideous, looks like it hasn't been trimmed yet or something. I legit think they'd be impractical too, like you'd trip over them.

FYI Fanmail US has a sale. Just ordered a sweatshirt, even if shipping and taxes hurt. Really like the cut, could be an upgrade for me over the more sporty Reigning Champ, for now I ordered the orange one since I got other colors covered and have wanted an orange sweater for a while.

I'm trying to find a pair of black derby boots, ideally with a Goodyear welt, rubber soles and maybe a cap toe or wingtip?

Are there any sub-$300 options aside from AE Dalton seconds and Meermin's derby boot?

Thanks!

Thanks for the responses guys.

I was leaning towards the first ones (which are by D.Gnak By Kang.D) too, but the seller is asking for $80 for shipping. Fuck that

Now it's a matter of whether I'll wait for another pair like those come up or buying the 4th pair (a collaboration between Danner and wings + horns)
