I sent a virus to the site because I knew it wouldn't allow Canadians the subscription!

The only sport Canadiens watch is hockey, anyway. Why spoil it for the rest of us?

It's Canadiaans for one thing.......and you know what, maybe you're right. I'm half american, and I post in every sports thread and follow every sport, but we love hockey too much here.

I was just watching the national evening news, and the Todd Bertuzzi case was the top NATIONAL NEWS STORY. Yeah, the story I doubt ESPN talked about for at least 20 minutes was the #1 news story...out of any...in the world. I couldn't believe the attention it was getting (and has recieved). Just a perfect example of how much Canadians want to see hockey/hockey news. That said, the Raptors are doing fine attendance-wise, even though they're sucking, so I've got to give us some credit for supporting other sports.

The only time hockey is even mentioned on ESPN anymore is when Dan Patrick or someone goes, "Man, is it me or has anyone even noticed hockey has been gone?"

And then they laugh at the NHL.

The NHL is a perfect example of a sport that ran itself into the ground and managed to alienate most of America in the process. I don't know if it'll ever really survive in America anymore. My recommendation has been all along is that Canada take the remnants of the NHL and start it back up, exclusively in Canada and maybe expand to parts of the Northeast if there's any interest.

People in Tampa Bay and other cities imply don't care. Why expand an ice-based sport in places where there's no fucking ice?
