I remember in 2011 we had a heat wave that hit us on the East coast, it was probably worst I've ever been in. It was like 110 during the day and 95 at night. And humid.

That's why I never got when people say they prefer the heat over the cold. The heat is absolutely unbearable. The cold isn't. You can warm up pretty easily. But if you don't have an AC during really hot weather you're fucked. Impossible to get comfortable, impossible to sleep. Give me 25 degrees over 110 any fucking day.

For some reason my bedroom gets super hot. I don't know if it's because I have a lot of electronics in here that generate heat. But the other day it was 58 degrees outside and my bedroom temp was 84. It was too cold outside for my AC and too warm in there for me to sleep comfortably. I've never been able to figure out why this bedroom gets so damn warm.

Anything higher than 70 when I'm trying to sleep is suffering for me. I keep my own thermostat at 67 at night.

I remember that heatwave. A hurricane came through my area at the same time and knocked out the power to swaths of neighborhoods for days, so there were people sleeping outside in kiddie pools and such. No AC.

I will always take cold weather over hot any time.
 
I fucking despise shitface arsehole summer, especially here in Vienna. When I was young we used to get like 27 degrees max. Nowadays it's 34 degrees from May to September. No AC anywhere and public transportation is like sauna.

On top of that we have to wear those fuckhead FFP2 masks. It's like being waterboarded with sweat.

I keep my thermostat year round at 19-22C. It requires 3C ranges for pre-sets. If it gets too cold, it heats up and if it gets hot (like recently), it cools down.

I dont even think of it.

As DragoonKain said, given the choice, I'd take cold first. At least you can pile on some blankets. I had to do both ultra hot and cold. My AC broke years back (turns out it was just a bad wire... how the fuck would I know? lol). It was impossible to sleep upstairs so I slept in the basement which was sweet. Thank god I have a basement.

And another time, my furnace pilot light went out during winter. Couldnt get the thing on. Fix it guy didnt show up till next day. My thermostat said it was like 9C in my house when he showed up. All I did was bundle up with two thick blankets and didn't feel a thing. My head was cold as it was exposed but my body was fine.

Because Austria needs ages to adjust to changes and still considers this a country that doesn't need AC.

What do you do when you're naked and still hot? Remove your skin? Cold weather is better than hot weather every time.

Man I can't imagine life without AC here in the US on the east coast or down south.

Peggies Peggies is it illegal or something to install a simple window AC unit in Vienna or something? Because I feel so bad just thinking that people can't have such a simple luxury as AC that I will pitch in to buy and ship one to you.

I use to go to both places a long time ago.... I am always curious about the foreign "islands" that exist on the internet.

KF is setup like a linear forum were people mad at the world go to talk shit about everyone else. They have threads focused on doxxing people. They even had a thread focused on the drama between gaf and era when it first happened. I believe KF has a no porn rule but I cant remember. The website has been banned from being hosted in a majority of countries.

4chan is an anonymous board where threads have a post limit causing them to have a decay rate.... very hard to find old threads and posts. Its the wild west with very little moderation. You never know what you are going to find but mostly racist shit and porn.

I highly recommend people not visit the sites. If you think incels are bad on gaf..... you aint seen shit.

Gotcha. Thanks. I knew they were "bad forums" I just didn't know the extent of it.
 
Alright guys I'm feeling a bit better now and according to my surgeon I'm quite "tough to kill", except for those 2 minutes where I actually died.
Now my convalescence will be long and painful, they removed half my stomach, all of my colon and a good chunk of my intestines, so please guys don't ever ignore even the slightest symptoms because what started with constipation and tiredness became cancer and not a small one.
So please guys listen to your bodies and don't think yourself too strong or young to get anything ....I mean I got very lucky there to survive and I'm just 28.
And I hope nobody here no matter who he is have to live what I lived and will have to live in the upcoming months.
And thank you all for your support, no matter how toxic this community can be perceived online, I only received great support here and I proud to be a part of this forum .... and you all can be proud of yourselves too.

Congratulations! A bit anxiety is OK, means you take the shit serious. Just don't be too anxious so you don't fuck up. Just chill and relax. Maybe meditate or masturbate - even better.
Oh and lavender is good for anxiety or fear.

Depending on your job, DON"T go in and start making radical changes to whatever system is already in place to "Make a name for yourself". Listen to your staff. Keep it real, don't change character into some billy big balls. Watch out for manipulative ass kissers. You can't be everyones friend, often you'll have to be the bad guy.

That's basically it. Depending on what job you have obviously.
 
I don't normally eat fast food but I wanted a shake. I've never had Red Robin before and their fries come steak cut. Which gave me the idea that we call French fries French because the cut is typically close to julienne.
I don't know if this is true, but it's what I'm going to believe.
 
Their chocolate fruffles are actually pretty okay for a fast food place. I feel like 6 are too many for one person tho. I'd give some to jshackles for gafday but I doubt he's in the same area. :(

You wouldn't be sane if you *didn't* feel anxious about a promotion. Just sit back and realize it's a normal part of your minds process of preparing you for new information - the unknown, essentially. A bit of chaos into your otherwise orderly existence, if you will.

Look at it like the beginning of a new adventure and you'll worry a little less.

I got the same anxiety too. Was recently promoted to a high level position from a relatively low one so I was worried about what I was going to be expected of despite my confidence in my ability to do my job. My advice is take it slow. For me it wore off pretty quickly and I just got right into doing what needed to be done and my days are back to feeling as normal as they were pre promotion
