The big project I was working on got re-prioritized. If I can work on that 100% and leave entirely my current position, I am planning to stay. If they want me to keep current duties in any capacity, I'm planning to leave. The team & the requirements come out in Jan. Not sure the exact date just yet, but I should hopefully have everything figured out by end of Jan.
If this project wasn't in the picture, I would have left at the beginning of this year. I sincerely wish I did not care at all about the project but I am incredibly passionate about working on it.

Sledding trip was semi successful. Younger kid hated it after the first couple runs, older kid didn’t want to leave. Dog was in heaven swimming in all the snow, but now we’ve got wet dog smell and the kids are playing with her and smell like wet dog too.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Cherish those memories. My kids are both grown now, but some of my best memories of them as younglings was when I would take them sledding.

My boss was the one on the receiving end and thankfully he knows well the stress of our work. He talked me down a bit. My wife was home due to the weather and got to experience the whole thing. She got me back down to a manageable level. I asked her this afternoon if she sees now why I don't always like to talk about my day.
Honestly, I was posting on Gaf here as a means to distract from the stress too. I really do love this community because it's been the best antidote to the stress of life. Gaf is my happy place. Everyone in this thread and the other places I routinely post are such a source of positivity in my life.

Wife is getting her Pinterest or whatever in today and made homemade soap and now homemade lotion. Well she walked away for a minute and the younger child decided to climb on the counter and see what the lotion tasted like…started screeching “caca caca cacaaaaa!!!”

Ask your GP (I'm no Dr) if Lexotan may help. It's very temp as class A. You don't get high, just settles nerves. No drunk feeling.
Again I'm no Doc but it helped me. Could do a 10 mile cycle on half of one. They're only meant to help a temp period, apparently very addictive. I didn't get.
Aside of that, when I had the last persciption, I said fuck that. Was having a few beers with a mate and his girlfiend so we stupidly mixed them.
Mother comes back from holiday, my mate and his bird were asleep in her bed. She naturally went ballastic.
So don't do that but absolutely ask your GP as for short periods they really do help, to get you back on track. Best of luck dude.

Thankfully it was a one off. If the issues persist, I will for sure talk it out with my GP.
I've got high blood pressure despite being normal BMI, eating well, and exercising routinely. This was not a thing prior to my taking the job.

Lost my shit at a our remote working graphic designer once. Over the course of two days he kept asking both myself and the other product manager for the FTP logins, which he got multiple times. Saturday morning I get yet another "Hey can you tell be the login again" email when quite literally it was on that same email chain two replies back.
What I didn't know was that he smoked weed while he worked, so that made sense. If I'd have known that at the time I'd have just laughed and called him a dopey stoner.

I am pretty sure my colleague merely logs in each day then fucks off and does whatever, then gets back on just before the work day is done to record/lie about his time. My boss doesn't seem to care.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have the work ethic and integrity that I do. Because if he can get paid well over six figures to do nothing, so could I, I just can't bring myself to be that low and useless.

That’s the thing that pisses me off. I won’t do anything I don’t agree with morally/ethically/legally, I do not miss deadlines for any reasons under my control, and if I fuck up I’ll own it.
And if you can’t at least make an effort to do that, and then try to blame me for your screw up, I will gouge out your eyeballs and skull fuck you.

I'm too nice I suppose. My colleague knows that much of my job involves DevOps and data mining. I have scripts that can gather information from the various databases our systems use, that can mine our ITIL and other automation solutions for interactions and such.
I could very easily produce these reports and show my boss "See here, how I actually do all of these things every day? How I logon to all of these different systems and perform all of these tasks? All of these scripts I wrote, all of these tables in these databases my work altered? Now look at Penis Breath's report.... yea, he literally just checks email and only handles things if you personally assign a task to him. And even then, he typically doesn't get it done on time".
But I just can't do that. He has a kid, disabled dad, etc.

He does, we all know that manager that "Worked from home" on a Friday did the same thing. Even before the masses could WFH because of Covid. There's an art to it though that most people never learned.

Had a Polish GF and my family gave me a kitten for her (Mimi)
Lovely kitten, grew into a strong cat. (fought foxes) Then was suddenly gone, broke my heart as she was awesome.
Her previous cat went YOLO and jumped out a second story window.
Have no idea WTF she was doing. GF.
There's another KOT, she dumped her in Poland.
Angered me greatly. She was an absolute sweetheart. Used to run up the stairs to my flat and paw at the door.
Again no idea what was going on. Some people don't deserve a pet.
