I find it more tiresome to see many threads boasting about game companies accruing social media likes and views, being on track to break sales records etc. Wow, popular AAA game is popular. PlayStation and Xbox have a lot of fans. Tell me something I don't know, not this fanboy circle-jerking.

I am only gonna buy future hardware based strictly on how many likes the announcement tweet for said product generated.

That's how I am gonna live the rest of my life, actually.

Take this thread for example:

Dude is saying that Sony is "chasing" Xbox, when sales and other statistics like userbase couldn't be further from the truth. It doesn't make any sense to me (at least not anymore) who is the dominate one. Other than a few exclusive games, the games are all the same and at the end of the day, if you support one over the other, you're probably going to miss out on some games regardless.

In summation: shut the fuck up about what console is better.

Sorry, maybe I should have made the title clearer. I am a PlayStation fan first and foremost and by 'chasing' I meant in terms of strategy, not in terms of sales or success.

I wan't PlayStation to stick to what made them successful in the past and reject putting their games on other platforms and all this crossplay and cross-save stuff.

I also want them to make aggressive acquisitions to make the platform the most vital gaming hardware to own.

My passion can come across cringy and sometimes overly critical too and I do apologize if I angered you in any way. The thread was actually started as a way for me to vent.... after all the Bloodborne stuff appeared all over the net..

I don't think we need more reactions added but I would like to see our current set redesigned to be more video game-like, using the Love (Heart), Fire, and Praise the Sun reactions as examples that fit the theme of a gaming forum quite nicely.
